KViHotel Budapest - the Smart Hotel

El hotel está bastante bien y todo muy limpio y moderno, el problema que por innovar con la app de la propia cadena nos dio fallos todos los días. El primer día para el checkin no había recepción abierta y tardamos en realizar todos los pasos para poder acceder, no lo recomiendo para personas mayores que no se desenvuelvan bien con la tecnología. Después la app dejó de funcionar y no nos abría las puertas de recepción ni de la habitación.

It’s a lovely hotel and situated near the sites you want to visit. Smart hotel with just the app that you use to open your doors and check in and out. The rooms are tidy, though lots of markings on the wall, you can’t change the air conditioning temperature since it’s centrally controlled. The walls are not soundproof, on our first night, I had trouble sleeping since we could hear voices from the street (people shouting, singing and drunk people) I had to message their app if it was just our room or if we didn’t close the windows properly (since in ***********) it says “soundproofing”. However, the staff said that due to its location at the heart of the city, there are expected noises and they then provided us ear plugs. But I think this can be addressed more, probably by making the rooms soundproofed since it’s near places like bars. That’s the only major issue I had while staying in this hotel. As someone who suffers from insomnia and is a light sleeper. On the other hand, they have lockers for you to store your luggage in case you want to explore the city for the last time and just pick it up once you’re ready to depart.

We stayed in a junior suite which was massive and very clean, it had everything we needed for our stay. Rooms changed and cleaned everyday, breakfast was grand for what we needed. Great central location to explore Budapest and the smart hotel functions worked perfectly.

Just returned home after five nights at the KVI Hotel which I enjoyed very much. Without realising it, I booked this hotel in a perfect location (in the middle of the Jewish Quarter) and very close to many restaurants, bars and coffee shops. The room and bathroom were nicely appointed and comfortable, if anything our (corner) room lacked wardrobe space. We only met the front desk staff (as we didnt eat breakfast) but both Esther and Mattias were lovely and extremely helpful and friendly I will definitely recommend the hotel to friends

The hotel is located on a quiet street, rooms are decent, reception servise is good. Advantages : - free water you can take in lobby to your room - excellent breakfast - they really pay attention to details and bakery is just awesome here

Hotel and people working are not ready to welcome the technics that they are presenting. I had bad experience for the housekeeping system and behaviour. Also a huge disappointment was the breakfast. It was presented for better but is totally waste of money.

First of all they didn’t send to me any information about the booking even how get into the hotel. Once I arrived to the hotel the receptionist through WhatsApp gave us how to make check in and it takes time while we need to rest after long day traveling. Very noise fro the street and no shampoo. The room was dirty.

We had a good stay at KVIHotel. The location is perfect - right in the centre of the Jewish Quarter, minutes from plenty of bars and restaurants. The hotel itself was clean and modern - our room was lovely and was cleaned to a high standard every day. We also liked the ‘smart hotel’ aspect and found it was easy to get in and out using the app. There were a few things, however, that affected the stay. Firstly, the bed was extremely hard, and did affect the quality of our sleep. This was also impacted by the building work going on in the courtyard next to the hotel which started at around 7:30am each morning - not the hotel’s fault though! Our booking included breakfast, which was nice but could have been more varied (everyday was the same food - bread rolls, bacon, eggs, croissants, cereal). The breakfast staff were really friendly and helpful. Lastly, our main issue was with the lack of service at checkout. We checked out through the app, but wanted to leave our bags in the lockers, many of which were broken or did not have working key cards. There were no staff on the reception desk and so this became a lot more complicated than it needed to be. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but felt there were a few things that could be changed to improve the experience at the hotel.
