This was my first time staying at Ascott Surabaya, and the experience was not very memorable for me. When I first arrived, the security staff were not proactive in helping unload my luggage from the taxi. Secondly, the lobby layout was not particularly impressive in my opinion. However, the staff were fairly friendly and explained the hotel facilities well. As for the room, it was decent and in good condition. The kitchen equipment was complete, and the microwave, washing machine, and dryer all worked well. The bathroom was clean, although I think it could be redesigned to look more modern. The check-out process went smoothly, but once again the security staff were disappointing. He just stood there without offering any help to load my luggage into the taxi. At that time I was carrying one large suitcase and one small one, so assistance would have been greatly appreciated. That should be part of a security staff’s responsibility, especially for a five-star hotel. For the location, Pakuwon Trade Center (PTC) is located right in front of the hotel, making it very convenient to visit Pakuwon Mall, the largest mall in Indonesia. For me, staying here once is enough. For some reason, I didn’t feel any significant comfort, especially for a five-star hotel, and the attitude of the security staff was very disappointing.

Location is great, staffs are very friendly, breakfast is good, a very nice cafe downstairs stairs. Galaxy mall is within 3 minutes drive away and a lot of food within reach. The room is comfortable and clean. Good bed, kitchenette with coffee machine, washer dryer and huge fridge. Everything is great except for asking for high floor but was told highest is 3rd floor which is a disappointment as the road noise is a killer. It’s extremely noisy when there is siren or loud motors passing by, I have to turn on music to get to sleep.

Hot/cold water dispenser in the apartment 👍🏻 6. Lamp plug wire was exposed 7. Cupboards/shelves were cracked/broken 8. Stained- scissors, towel, stool, sink, bathroom tiles 9. Trail of ants found in the bathroom but service staff came promptly to clean it 10. Kitchen area has a musty smell - maybe due to poor ventilation 11. Bathroom door handle cover was loose 12. Water flow was slow

Hotel nya bersih. Tapi pintu kamar mandinya agak rusak. Sulit di buka. Receptionistnya ramah tapi ga stay 24jam.

1. The bathroom wasn't ready for use; some of the tiles were loose, making it look dirty, including the bathroom floor. 2. When we turned on the faucet, a strong odor came from the drain or water pipe. 3. The blanket was too small, only suitable for one person. 4. The balcony door was difficult to push open; a sliding door would have been recommended to make the small balcony usable, even though it housed the AC unit. Otherwise, the room was good, and the location is highly recommended.

Located on Pakuwon Mall and only 1 min ahead to Shanghai Park (hype place in Surabaya right now) make this building worth every penny to booked. Easy to collect key, and deposit needed it. Self service trash bin, and apartment quite cozy! They have kitchen if you want to cook. Linen smell “not good” but its not really matter since I only here for one night. If you have things to do in East Surabaya/Pakuwon you can consider to stay here.

The room is massive! It has its living room with a sofa and also dining table. Everything works well and so clean. The staff also is very kind and informative. If something need to be improve is the bathroom, one of two toilet only has a curtain and not full to the floor so the water splash everywhere when taking the shower. Overall this is really nice hotel, will comeback again next time if I go to Surabaya. Thank you

My evaluation of the overall evaluation is quite good. One thing that might be improved is related to its facilities, such as consistent maintenance in the room and access to the lift before entering the room. For current circumstances, I will give 8.5 out of 10 as a result.

The apartment is small and worn out. The glass at the kitchen wall cracks. The toilet is dirty too. Needs to renovate and do some painting. The balcony is too small and dirty. The location is very good though as it is connected to the supermall pakuwon.
