The room was okay, not too big but not too small as well. The bed was comfy, cleanliness can be improved. However, we encountered dirty water issue in the bathroom the second day before checking out. The hotel’s location is at the city centre so it’s easy to enjoy many of the city attractions.
we had an excellent pleasant & best hospitality service served by the hotel staff (with a welcoming smile, greetings- feels like home during my check in (a wheelchair being provided to my elderly mom) plus the best room service provided. The room service section (during Ramadan) prepared our food before iftar time although we arrived at the hotel from KL so near to the iftar duration. Besides, during sahur, i wish to give my BEST compliment to “Azim” one of the cafe staff who has an effort to send our requested food for my elderly mother who is sick to the room. This actions shows the high standard quality of customer service shown by the The Grand Renai hotel staffs which i feel they deserved to be given the highest compliment by their customers. Good Job.👍🏻not to mentioned, this hotel are also has the highest cleanliness. Definitely will visit again & to add in my top priority list whenever on my “balik kampung” trip to Kota Bharu.
The room carpet looked a bit old, and the skirting in the bathroom seemed a little rundown due to water flow from the shower pipe. However, the room was still clean and well-maintained. The service at the front desk was excellent—very friendly and helpful. The housekeeping was very friendly too. There was ample parking space available. Overall, I was happy with my stay. It would be even better if the hotel management could consider giving the rooms a more thorough cleaning, especially the carpet. Replace some old skirting in the bathroom.

cleanliness is below average. toilet is moldy. it is recommended for u to bring your own toilet slipper. bedsheet and pillowcase is yellowish. however i guess this is the best u can get in kota bahru. dont compare to the standard of cleanliness with hotels in KL

Check-in was smooth, and the staff were friendly, which made a great first impression. Our room was on the 8th floor, facing the Kelantan River, and it was quite spacious. However, the hotel is a bit aged, and the old carpet had a slight damp smell when we first entered. Fortunately, after turning on the air conditioning for a while, the smell disappeared. On the bright side, the bathroom and bathtub were clean, which I really appreciated.
One of my favorite things about the room was the huge window—if you're lucky with the weather, you can catch a beautiful sunset over the river. The underground parking was convenient, with plenty of spots near the entrance to the lobby. The hotel is also within walking distance of several tourist attractions like museums and the famous Siti Khadijah Market.
The only real downside was the incredibly slow elevator, which tested my patience a little. Aside from that, everything was fine for a short stay. Would consider staying again if visiting Kota Bharu.

Aucun contact visuel, était occupé avec ses affaires pendant 2 minutes avant de nous servir. La chambre était correcte, propre et soignée. Il y avait un traversin fourni en bonus. Les toilettes et le lavabo n'étaient pas dissimulés. Dans l'ensemble, l'hôtel est neuf. Le stationnement est gratuit.

I'm booking for family room but they said the room is full. Got 1 extra bed but still the room not convenience as room per booked because it is small. The food just a simple menu. Don't expect more. Parking is easy.
