Nous avons visité la famille pour un déjeuner de naissance. Le service était rapide et ami. La nourriture était fraîche et délicieuse. Les parents aiment la soupe de courgette et ils ne sont pas faciles à se plaire! Les champignons sauvages sont délicieux et sont fortement recommandés. Place est jolie et agréable. Le jardin de la bière a regardé une grande piège au soleil en une journée d'été fabuleuse.

I enjoyed 2 nights in a rear facing room away from any noise from the pedestrian precinct out front. Although the corridor carpets looked grubby and needing replaced, everything in my room was top notch. There was a minor issue with my soap dispensers, but this was quickly and cheerfully dealt with by housekeeping. The hotel is handily placed for the railway station and principal bus stops. There is a nearby Wetherspoons and a spotless chippy for a takeaway within a 5 minute walk off Poulton Road. Finding a pre-packed sandwich wasn't easy as the Boots in The Arndale doesn't sell food, but Poundland had a good tasty range at £2 each. This is one of those Travelodges built with bouncing corridor floors, which also seem to affect bedrooms - if the occupants of the room above you or through the floor are being inconsiderate, you'll be sure to hear lots of loud thuds! I'd be happy to stay here again at the right price and maybe next time ask for a top/3rd floor room.

For context last night was the fourth time we have eaten at The Royal over the last three months and the three previous visits have been very enjoyable with great food and service, unfortunately last night was a different experience. We booked at 7pm on a busy Saturday and had a short wait for the table to be ready but only a couple of minutes. We were shown to the table by a pleasant young man and our order was taken in good time by a lady I took to be a supervisor. We shared a starter and when our mains were delivered by a third waiter, a much taller young man, I asked for some mustard to accompany my steak. He brought a pot with about half a teaspoonful of mustard so I asked for some more, he seemed to take umbrage at this and rather sullenly brought an overfilled pot which overflowed onto the table. He then addressed my partner, who is easily old enough to be his mother, as 'Darling'. We both made him aware, politely, that we thought this was inappropriate. He seemed to disagree and didn't apologise so we made the supervisor aware. To her credit she did apologise, as did the restaurant manager and the surly waiter did not come near us for the rest of the night. The main courses were both excellent but when we opted to share a sweet the 'Creme Anglais', or custard to a Lancastrian, was stone cold. After about 20 minutes trying to flag down a waiter to get the custard replaced we gave up on the sweet and paid the bill (less the sweet) and left rather disappointed. Despite the fact that the majority of the food was excellent the attitude of the taller waiter and the fact that something as simple as providing hot custard proved an issue has left a sour taste and we will be trying other restaurants before we return to the The Royal.

Le restaurant n'est pas ouvert le soir mais il a été fourni une liste de places à manger à proximité, ou, alternativement, la direction était heureuse si les prises étaient livrées, même si vous Le bain de bains est efficace mais pas grand et il n'y a pas de manches à main quand il est en train de se déplacer. Les toilettes sont petites et fiables et il semble qu'elles ne servent pas de routine ou ne nettoient pas les toilettes de change de chambre à moins que vous ne le demandez, pas assez bien si vous restez quelques nuits Nice taille mur hangant TV mais la Le parking est un parking privé, surveillé par une compagnie de stationnement, vous devez vous assurer d'enregistrer votre numéro de voiture ou de risquer l'inévitable amende. Le parc automobile a seulement environ vingt espaces pour pouvoir se remplir rapidement, il a également besoin d'un nettoyage car il y avait beaucoup de litre autour J'ai l'impression que l'hôtel est géré avec trop peu de personnel En conclusion, OK mais pas grand et nous penserions dur avant de rester renouveler
