Nordic Hotel Abuja

수영장과 짐이 특히 좋고, 호텔과 연계된 블루카바나 식당도 좋습니다. 다만, 위치가 다소 외곽이고, 침대가 좋지 않습니다.

I'm an executive and have traveled the world for business and pleasure. This trip was a very special trip. This was my first time in Nigeria and I was privileged to visit with my partner who is Nigerian. We stayed at the Nordic in Lagos and it was impressive and amazing so we decided to cancel our plans to stay at the Hilton in Abuja and instead stay at the Nordic in Abuja. When we arrived it was my partner, myself and our friend who picked us up from the airport. As I filled out the paperwork to check in someone brought a welcome drink and glass of water but for me only. Not for my partner or our friend, my partner had to ask where his drinks were. We were then told that because I was paying with my international MC they needed to hand input my card number. This was odd because again earlier in the day we checked out of the Nordic in Lagos and they did not need to do this. Finally we were told we could have 1 key to the room. I asked why we could not have 2 keys? What if my partner and I went out separately? They said this is the hotel policy. At this point I wasn't happy and told them to cancel our reservation and we would go to the Hilton. They called for the manager. I explained to him that we had an amazing experience in Lagos at their sister hotel and this was not matching this experience. He explained they only do 1 physical key for couples and I said this doesn't makes sense or seem safe. I said I'm ready to leave. He asked me to please give them a chance. I told my partner it was up to him since their treatment of him bothered me as well. He said okay let's give them a chance. The manager told us he would have an additional key made available and for us to come get it after we relaxed and settled in. When we went out for dinner later that evening we asked for the other key and the desk person told us there was no key and he would call us after he checked. He called back and said no one was aware of an extra key. Now this is a problem the key is required to actually lock the door from the inside. I have attached pictures. Also our AC unit was above the entry door but could not provide air to the rest of the room attaching pictures of that as well. The next day at breakfast I saw the manager but he said nothing to us to follow-up. When we finally checked out the following day then the manager comes over to ask have they redeemed themselves. I said no and you didn't even try from my perspective. Both my partner and I wish we just left. Like I said I'm an executive with extensive travel if the experience in Lagos had not been so great my expectations would not have been so high. Whomever manages that location needs to go help this location.

We had another great stay at Nordic. We will always stay here when coming to Abuja. The staff go above and beyond to ensure we have everything we need not just in the hotel but also in Abuja. The hotel is spotless and constantly cleaned, and the room is very comfortable. The hotel has a wonderful staff of drivers who are available when we need them and guide us around the city.
