Location has a good sea view, there is a steep hill, it didn’t bother us. Maria is friendly and her family the food is good but limited I ate eggs and omelette my daughter had cheese and ham toasty. Paid for room upgrade with TUI for 1 bed apartment, no window in bedroom like sleeping in a closet. Basic room, small terrace, not like photos advertised, only 2 small windows and a front door, no patio doors like advertised or windows like photos on TUI website, there was noise from from apartments above and next door, you can hear them using toilet and in the bedroom there is a drains smell. The sun beds are reserved at the pool and there isn’t enough umbrellas, therefore we only used the pool 3 times, we walked 8 mins to the beach at the Royal Marim Bay hotel and paid 30 euros for 2 beds and umbrella and 2 towels, food at the beach bar there is amazing and the view is stunning. We also ate in the sushi and fish restaurants at the hotel which were both delicious. We walked into Elouda a few evenings about 30 mins taxi is 8 euros. Lovely restaurants by the sea and Marina, good supermarket. Go to Despina about 10 mins walk stunning view and delicious seafood and good service. We were both heart broken about the 2 female dogs kept on very short leases at Tasmania Village they can’t walk far from there concrete kennels, they were very friendly but left alone for long hours, we seen one of them eating her own poo. They looked like they had puppies recently. Why have dogs and treat them like this, I have 2 dogs and they are with me constantly and walked twice for at least 3 hours a day, and are never chained up, we just could not understand how this is acceptable these days, even in Crete. email and ask for water before you arrive to be left in fridge. No blanket or quilt provided only one pillow and a sheet on a double bed and you have to pay extra for air con, we loved Elounda but we would not stay at Tasmania again.
