Cottage Heights B&B

This is a really lovely homely bed and breakfast. It is situated in a beautiful place in Beara with magnificent views of the Atlantic. The host Mary is very hospitable and eager to ensure the comfort of all customers. Mary has accommodated a number of walkers and has ensured that their stay is memorable. The accommodation and breakfast is top class. Mary also provides great recommendations of local facilities and promotes local industry. Highly recommend staying in Cottage Heights.

Wonderful place to stay, great location, Mary and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent and with really good choices. Plenty of parking, great views and nice clean rooms. I would highly recommend you stay here.

We are walkers with a lot of bnb walking way experience and this we felt was a half hearted effort. No tea or coffee making facilites in the room no friendly greeting on arrival, a charge to fill our flasks in the morning. No cereal or porridge offered ...a walkers staple breakfast. Owner abrupt and seemed to find simple requests an inconvenience. We felt we were putting her out by being there. I am amazed at previous positive reviews as this would not hold a candle to our previous bnb experiences. On a positive note Mary did book our restaurant and our luggage transfer. Would not stay again as I just felt the cead mile failte was missing.

This is a wonderful gem and an absolute pleasure to stay at during a 3 week trip round Ireland. Mary is such a warm and hospitable host and nothing is too much trouble. There are spectacular views of the bay from many of the rooms and it was such a treat to wake up to these views from room 1. The room was so spacious and well furnished and spotlessly clean with lovely towels, toiletries and a fantastic shower. Breakfasts were superb - there was lot of choice and we had a full Irish and also smoked salmon and scrambled eggs during our stay, washed down with excellent orange juice and strong coffee - all of which were absolutely delicious. We would definitely return here and would highly recommend anyone visiting the area to stay here. Thanks so much Mary, you’re amazing and we’ll stay longer next time!

Mary goes above and beyond in supporting you in having a good trip. The hotel is small, quiet and charming with the most beautiful view ever! Have some tea on the chairs over looking the water. Mary is a delight to chat with and will support all your food allergies for a safe and good breakfast.

The B&B is clean, comfortable and has an excellent shower. It also has an excellent view across Bere Haven, and serves a good breakfast. What makes this exceptional, is Mary, the host. We were walking the Beara Way, and she helped us book our next accommodation on a busy holiday weekend, provided a cool shady room for two hikers on a hot day, told us where to get our evening meal (Murphy's - excellent ) and helped us book accommodation for the next two nights
