As we walked in we were pleasantly surprised of the overall look and feel of the hotel. The lady at the reception was nice and helpful and since it was too early for check in she has reserved the rooms for us. Fast forward to the check in, all good until we went upstairs. The room was of decent size, however everything else screamed lack of care… From rotten wardrobe to knobs missing on the heaters leaving exposed sharp metals. I do hen went for a shower. There were no toiletries except from the dispensers of cheap liquid soap (at this price tag you get L’occitane anywhere else in Europe) The towels provided were paper thin and remembered me of sandpaper. The shower cabin…well, it was filthy, half blocked, full of mold and falling apart (see pics attached) The bed…well, I can safely say that I have slept on the bed frame as the 100mm memory foam mattress was so old and beaten that it lost it’s memory. The breakfast was included, however it was as bad as the rest. In a place flooded with local farms and producers of quality food, all we got was cheap generic supermarket food. Overall this hotel depicts the side of Romanian tourism/hospitality that needs to go. The power of influent owners over their clients and the low standards set at such high prices. Over 330Lei stands at almost €70 per night and you get nothing but a sleeping mat by the door. Disgusting.
