Gasthof Kremslehner

Biking from Linz 35 miles away, we were racing to avoid a huge black cloud on our way to Gasthaus Kremslehner. We arrived early, drenched from the rain. We were welcomed warmly and our wet outside jackets were whisked away to be dried. We enjoyed a delicious dinner in their charming restaurant. (Not sure if dinner is offered every night.). The rooms are very comfortable having been recently renovated. This is the Austria we have been looking for- a memorable experience with locals, great food and conversation. For bikers: this was a perfect destination but be forewarned that the last mile or so is a very steep hill. We walked our bikes. About half way up, one of the women who lived on the hill kindly offered us shelter from the rain. Even with the rain and the hill, I would seek out Gasthaus Kremslehner if I was in the area again. It was that good.
