Drimsynie Estate Hotel

We would highly recommend the enchanted fairy lodge, being newly renovated this creates a magical experience for kids while including everything needed to have a peaceful and enjoyable break for everyone. The staff went over and above to accommodate us with a last minute booking and overall saved our holiday after our flights abroad were cancelled. We would highly recommend a trip to Drimsynie not only for the stunning views and amazing food but more so for the magical experience created by the enchanted fairy lodge and a well needed staycation.

Absolutely stunning place , I've just booked again for myself and family at Xmas and the receptionist Sue was amazing? She spent time helping us look at best accommodation for our needs (she was that good ive booked 2 lodges ). Ive been coming to Drimsynie for over 30 yrs and it's normally 3/4 times a year. It doesn't matter what accommodation you're in as everything's spotless and staff do everything to help

We took our 2 granddaughters for a 4 night break, as they wanted to stay in a caravan. The girls had a ball. The caravan was surprisingly good quality and the girls enjoyed the activities. We went to the swimming pool, pottery, teddy making, fun house and the family cinema experience. They enjoyed everything. An added bonus was the evening entertainment which was a kid's disco, games and a brilliant magic show. Although a captive audience the food and drink outlets did not overcharge. A great time was had by our girls and that was the whole purpose of our trip.

Paddle boarding at Drimsynie was an incredible experience from start to finish! Jenn was an outstanding instructor—friendly, encouraging, and full of helpful tips. The views were absolutely breathtaking, the water was calm and clear, and the whole session was filled with fun, laughter, and great energy. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced, this is a must-do activity. Can’t recommend it enough—we’ll definitely be back for more!

Never normally leave reviews but had to this time!! Scenery absolutely stunning!! Only positive tbh!! Hot tub lodge booked for a week - +-£1700 so expected high standard. How wrong could we be!! Lodge was dirty when we went in, said it had been cleaned but lowest standard I’ve seen. Sticky countertops, sticky settee, sticky everything. Bugs squashed into the roof walls, curtains in every room. Huge web with spiders behind settee. Sounds picky but could see it just standing in the kitchen. Unbelievable!! If this was cleaned, they need to be having a word with the cleaning dept. Shocking!! Lodge is very dated, with broken floors, stained carpets. The list goes on!! Decking that holds the hot tub not looking the best, rotten in lots of areas. The decking area very dirty. Family of 4 booked, towels were sparce, terrible offering for a family numbers they knew had booked. Once we were offered more at a price the theme became clear. Takeaway was disappointing and expensive for cheap burgers etc etc. restaurant the same. Not the worst but expensive for the offering. Put the fish and chips back. Inedible!! Play park barriers off as too dangerous and was cut down. Good it got removed before someone got hurt but would’ve thought this would’ve been done in off season??? Offering paddle boarding and various other activities. We to book my boys on the paddle boarding only to be told “only sticking by the prebooked sessions, as the person who runs it left and no one else could do it”. Asked at reaction and they said this was untrue and speak to the woman who runs the spa. Received lots of excuses and still couldn’t book them a session. No mentions of any of this on the website, understand as the paying guest can’t do anything about it once they have arrived. This is a company that are obviously trying to rival the likes of centrparcs. They are more expensive and fall really short of this standard. Worst holiday village I have been on and can safely say and guarantee I, my family or friends will never spend our money within this company. We were going for the staycation route but in retrospect should’ve booked a holiday abroad and saved some money!!

Eagle cabin was stunning inside, really comfortable and equipped with everything you'll need. Outside decking needs a bit of tlc though, wee paint job and touch up of broken slats. Location is perfect as are the activities. We booked the canoeing, archery, pub quiz and laser combat. All fantastic with helpful staff. Wee bit pricey in the pub, and loud techno music was a bit of a pain. Overall, highly recommend and looking forward to returning.
