Mark and Linda's house is beautifully decorated throughout.They greeted us at the door and immediately made us feel really welcome.Nothing was too much trouble for them. The beds were really comfortable and the room was equipped with all you needed. The full breakfast was delicious.There was also a great selection of cereals,yogurts,fruit etc. We really enjoyed our 3 days break and all being well would love to go back.

A lovely home and hosts with practically a private entrance and area to relax. We enjoyed the talks and having breakfast before heading out for the day was wonderful. Clean and well maintained property located a quick 3 minute walk into the heart of the quaint little town.

Could not recommend this B and B any higher. Beautiful house,very clean, excellent food, great location and friendly owners. We usually stay in hotel's in Athlone but after staying mithere we will choose Shannonside first. Michael and Evelyn. Dublin.

Very pleased with this accommodation. Hygiene excellent. Friendly and helpful hosts. Very local to town and amenities. Would definitely return and reccomend. Check in is 4pm. Bit earlier would have suited us better so we could have refreshed before going into town for food.

Linda and Mark are just lovely. We showed up an hour early to our check-in time and Linda was glad to show us to our room. The bed was super comfy, had a great nights sleep. Upon checking out we had a great long chat with Lina and Mark. We met their two beutiful pups Bailey and Jenny. Would highly recommend.

I’m really really disappointed with this b n b. I booked for 29 Nov ( inadvertently non refundable) on *********** and money was taken out on 25th with no changes after that. My son contacted me on 25th to take care of granddaughter as mom’s labour was being started on 27th, 3weeks early for medical reasons. I notified bnb I couldn’t take the room. I flew out on 27th and what started as a “natural” labour start by sweep before being induced later if necessary became a medical emergency that evening. The bnb was extremely unsympathetic and uncaring. I honestly can’t believe anyone could be so unkind to not refund the money as I had given a few days notice. They only offered 25% off on the next booking and only if they could fill the room on this occasion. As if I would really want to pay them more money. I sincerely hope that if they ever find themselves in the same type of predicament as I had that their hosts will be kind and compassionate towards them.
