Parkside Motel Ayr

Check in was easy , staff very friendly, a bit older place , but very clean , comfortable and quiet. Small walk to food and drinks.

Took a break in the middle of my trip and was pleasantly surprised by the nice, polite service. The room was clean, with fresh sheets, and despite being located next to the road, it was incredibly quiet. Overall, great value for the price and an outstanding experience.

I rang Parkside motel 2 weeks in advance as TNSV was virtually booked out, the person who answered the phone was Polite, and Friendly I wanted U/ cover parking that Alone made my decision to book. We arrived Sat Arvo and got a Friendly Greeting from the mngr We checked in got the keys & parked in front of our room We were pleasantly surprised as we entered the Fan was on It was Spotlessly clean. Carpets . Fresh smelling shower & toilet' A Larger size Fridge than the normal Knee high Midget size. There is a small under cover pool as well. And 1 block to the Hotel. Woolies. & An Awesome Famous Italian Deli. ,& Coffee & cake shop. Bakery next door. We Always stop there For the Best coffee. Cakes. Lunches for the last 5 years. The bed was nice & firm. A small table & chair. A small Breeky bar Nice TV. Louvre Windows & Curtains (Rare) in the Bath & shower with fresh air flowing thru them. They Also will do a Laundry service for you at a small fee Again that's service. 2 Fluro lights on a shelf under the ceiling gave off Soft light Nice size wardrobe. All at a Reasonable price. We have paid up to $20 More at Rocky. M.kay. Townie. And Cairns that were Nowhere near as Clean There were Also Mints placed on our bed Nice soft Touch We Always have skip pass Ayr on our 3 mth Winter trip to Cairns No more we will stop Next time Going Up & back We Rally appreciate this Friendly Super Clean Motel

Excellent and affordable

Firstly, I rang to find out availability for two rooms. My husband and I for one room and our trainee for the other room. The lady on the phone hardly spoke English so trying to give her our email address was difficult so I suggested that I send her an email so she could have the correct information. When we arrived there was no one at the front desk and constantly ringing the bell did nothing. When someone finally arrived there was confusion on whether we had two rooms reserved or not, but I was able to show the lady that I had been charged two rooms on my credit card. OK we now had two keys! The room itself is very basic. A little drab as paintwork had been done in awhile. The fan above the bed was caked in dust! Bed was comfortable though. In the morning when we left I asked for tax invoices for the two rooms. Lady emailed them and we were on our way. When I tried to download the tax invoices to our accounting program one was constantly rejected. Upon looking at the two tax invoices I discovered that although there was two different names on the top of each one, both invoices had the same room number and the same invoice number on them, hence it looked like one tax invoice had been issued and only the names had been changed. It was no good for me to only be able to use one tax invoice for our business expenses. I emailed the hotel explaining that I needed the invoices to have different invoice numbers and different room numbers. Unfortunately, two weeks later and I have had no reply. I dont know if they are doing something shonky as far as the Taxation Department is concerned. Will NOT EVER stay here again.

Room very dusty. No blanket in room. Cockroach in room. Receptionist offered spray when requested. When told in the morning about blanket, apology offered. Thank you to the family in room 14 that gave me a blanket as when we returned at midnight from Pink, reception was closed.
