"Le ranch est un endroit parfait pour visiter la région et accéder au Parc national Rincon de la Vieja. Isolé mais pas trop (la ville de Guayabo offre toutes les commodités à 30 minutes de route et l’aéroport de Liberia est à 1h), les lieux sont paisibles et les espaces offrent une belle tranquillité. Nous avons loués deux studios adjacents. Très pratique car nous avons voyagé à 2 familles. Ils sont confortables et bien équipés pour leur taille. Au niveau des services offerts, rien n’a redire, Jorge est un excellent hôte. Piscine super pour les enfants et les fins de journées, repas délicieux et copieux. Nous y retournerions avec plaisir!"

"We stayed December 2024 in the very private Cocoa Cabin. Breakfast was varied each day and was exceptional (hot Chocolate from the cocoa for their yard). It was a nice treat not to have to share any walls with other guests (just the sounds of frogs at night and birds in the morning). At night we could look for frogs in the garden with the owner. The place was very clean and comfortable. The hosts were very warm and we loved learning about Costa Rica culture. Shower is hot water on demand, so you could change the temperature to hot or cooler on the shower dial (based on the season). Small kitchen with the necessary basics was included. They only recommended tours and restaurants they were familiar with and approved. Close to a lovely national park with waterfalls, all sorts of tours are available in this area and better than Monteverde with wildlife abundant (we saw 2 and 3 toed sloths, toucans, frogs in the garden). Wifi connection was consistent. I would go back in a heartbeat."

"Our trip with Destinos Costa Rica was truly unforgettable! From the moment we arrived, everything was perfectly organized and stress-free. What really made the difference was our incredible host, Orlando Villella. He went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed, cared for, and treated like family. Rancho Humo Estancia ★★★

"The place was not as advertised on the website. They said they offered 9 different tours but when I got there, only two tours were available. This place is in the middle of nowhere and there are no restaurants or stores anywhere in the vicinity so you have to have all meals at the ranch - lunch $25, dinner $30. It’s not a restaurant, rather you get the single meal they are serving. The website does not indicate this fact! The food isn’t bad but $25-$30 extra per lunch and dinner is expensive for what you get. There is nice common living room space but the air conditioning isn’t working or isn’t turned up so you really can’t sit in there. The only good thing about the place was Kenneth who was very nice and very accommodating but he seemed to realize what the ranch was offering was not as advertised. What particularly upset me was that I had communicated about the tours with someone named Paola a month before my stay at the ranch and she described tours that were simply not available when I got there. There’s good birding within a short drive if the ranch but not much else. This was the only place I stayed on a 3- week trip that was guilty of false advertising, describing tours that were t available and omitting the fact there was nowhere to eat but the ranch!"

"Petit hotel dans un joli cadre bien arboré. Les.chambres sont confortables mais nécessitent un peu de travaux notamment dans la salle de bains. Nous avons pris un repas le soir qui etait plus que moyen.... Accueil à améliorer sympathique mais pas très investi."
