Upon arrival, there was ample parking at the property. The reception staff member who greeted us was pleasant and efficient. Considering the relatively low price of €103 per night, we were given a larger-than-expected room, which was very generous and for that we were grateful. The room was clean, spacious, and reasonably well-appointed with pleasant simple décor. The TV was medium-sized and the furnishings and beds were all quite nice and in good condition. The Wi-fi was superb. The bathroom had semi-modern tiling with a very nice bathtub and separate shower. The shower was quite basic and honestly didn’t have very good water coverage (a fairly thin stream of water from a tiny, outdated shower head) and had some moldy stains which could have used soaking in bleach. Throughout the property, the carpet also desperately needed to be replaced. It was so worn in places it had lost some of its color and looked stained and dirty. The property also had a stale odor in the hallways, but this didn’t extend to the rooms. In all, for the price we paid, we truly enjoyed a more than comfortable enough stay and we were not disappointed. However, I couldn’t help but think that the addition of new carpet would totally transform the place since it was generally respectable in virtually every other way. The 4 pm check-in could also probably benefit from being pushed back an hour to 3 pm but this was not a major detraction.
