Avis : Banff Ptarmigan Inn

L'emplacement de l'hôtel est très bon, à côté de la route. J'ai réservé une chambre avec deux lits doubles. La chambre est propre, les installations sont en place et le service est très sympathique. Je peux réserver des billets pour des sites touristiques en mon nom. Le petit déjeuner gratuit fourni par l'hôtel est bon, avec des pancakes aux œufs de tomates, d'oignons et de poivrons verts fraîchement préparés. Insuffisant : Il y a peu de places de parking souterrain. La chambre qu'on m'a donnée était au premier étage, l'entrée du parking était devant la fenêtre, et il y avait beaucoup de bruit à l'extérieur.

I have given a room at level 1 with window facing the car park and I could hear people talking in the late night. Location wise, its definitely great.

The location is excellent, and there is plenty of parking. For laundry, you can use the facilities in the building next building.

The Ptarmigan Inn is located in the center of the Banff downtown. It is minutes of walk to numerous dining and shopping options. Parking can be difficult around town. The hotel offers free shuttle passes and the bus stops are just one block away. It also offers free parking and we had no problem to find a space during our stay (July 2025). Other reviewers mentioned about parking space problem but the parking space issue only applies to the skiing season when mostly people arrive with a car. Our room was in good size and came with a balcony. The only complaint I had was that our room was right next to the elevators and the noise from elevators was quite annoying. The elevator is a bit old and makes loud noise. In addition, there are people talking loudly by the elevator in the morning.

Disappointing and Noisy Stay – Not Recommended We had a very unpleasant experience at this hotel. Despite requesting a quiet room, we were placed near the reception area, which was already noisy. The worst part began at 1 AM when the staff started vacuuming the dining and recitation area with an extremely loud machine. It disrupted our sleep completely — not just one night, but two nights in a row. When I raised the issue, I found the cleaner wearing AirPods and the front desk staff listening to music in their room, clearly ignoring the disturbance being caused. When I asked if it was appropriate to clean at such an odd hour, the response was rude and dismissive: “This is the time we do cleaning — it’s normal.” Absolutely no regard for guest comfort. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful stay. One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed.

Had an excellent stay, the hotel was a great bargain in a prime location for all of our touring needs

No extra support for undue delay @ 3 am check in because unfortunate travelling.

Loved our stay at Babff Ptarmigan Inn. The room was cleaned properly even the room services was perfect. We got a free transit pass with our reservation which we utilized! The picture is our view which you can see the mountains partially and it’s still so pretty!

The hotel is in a great position. I had a suite that was on the second floor with a balcony at the front of the hotel. It was a bit noisy at night with people outside and in the rooms nearby. The room was great except there were no drawers at all, so you need to live out of your suitcase. The internal heating was noisy. Staff at reception were ok, one person was downright rude to me when I asked for a spoon. Love the bathroom products.

This place is strategically located. It is situated directly opposite Banff High School Transit where travelers can take Roam 8x to Lake Louise. Right outside, there are local buses you can take, example Roam 1 which takes you to Banff Gondola. The Inn also provides complimentary local Roam tickets. You will have to purchase Roam 8x express on your own. For drivers, they have complimentary parking too (depends on availability). We will return again because of its location. Staff service, room cleanliness, amenities are all good. Nothing to complain about.

The check in was smooth and everything went well. The main issue was there was sometimes not enough parking. Make sure you come early enough :/

It was a great hotel. Clean, good location, kind staffs and lovely breakfasts!
