Go BCN Hostal Ideal Badal - Hostel

Barcelona is my favorite place to be and I stayed at this hotel back in 2021. All I can say is definitely do not book a room there. It was maybe the worst hotel I have ever visited. The room was not clean. I told them and they sent somebody. When I was back in the evening, it was better, but still not even close to what you expect, especially the bathroom was a mess. The food was mediocre. Not terrible, but also 2 stars out of 5 at best. The staff did not seem reliable either. So yeah, I will certainly go back to Barcelona, but not to Hostal Ideal Badal. Absolutely not recommended. Also, there were some other issues. I booked with them and about a month later, I received an email from them that my VISA was not correct and they had to cancel the booking. What was a straight-up lie. Absolute travesty when you rely on a hotel to fulfill their part of the contract and I feel sorry for all the people who were suddenly without a place to sleep when they decided to go on a holiday to Barcelona. I tried to contact them about this issue, not a chance, so the other reviews is correct that coommunication with this hotel is literally impossible. I simply rebooked eventually and this time it did get through. Probably they cancelled with somebody else then in my favor. I wish I hadn't though.
