Hotel Du Lac et Bellevue

We have just returned from Lake Garda, where we celebrated our Golden Wedding anniversary. We stayed at the Hotel Du Lac et Bellevue, Bardolino. The hotel was excellent in all aspects and made our special holiday memorable. Our room was excellent as was the daily maid service. We stayed half board and the meals were amazing. Each evening there was a different menu, with something for every one. The Restaurant staff were excellent and friendly, nothing was to much trouble for them. The hotel is situated right on the shore of Lake Garda, with wonderful views of the lake. The ferry terminal was about a 10 minute walk from the hotel. We were very pleased with our stay here and would recommend this hotel to anyone considering visiting Lake Garda.

The hotel was lovely very proper, cloths on the tables and trousers for men at evening meal. A couples, older family The private beach was infact a private garden with pebbles, with a public path between the garden and the lake. A bit misleading on the write up. overall very nice, food good plenty of choice. pool quite small but usually quite empty. Fantastic location.

A pleasant hotel on the lakefront. The staff are all extremely nice. My room was in Hotel Bellevue section. I had a balcony but as my room was on the end of the building it was just a partial lake view. The room has everything you need. I was glad of the kettle and fridge. The food was quite good, the usual selection for breakfast and a good variety for dinner. The clientele were mainly elderly when we stayed and it is ideal for those with poor mobility.

I first came here with my family 6 years ago after we were upgraded due to building works at our previously booked hotel. It was a real find then and was what made me return alone this time. It just doesn’t disappoint 6 years on!! The setting is superb, facilities really good, food is first class and the whole staff just can’t do enough to make your stay as comfortable and welcoming as possible. Bardolino centre is just a 10 minute walk away as is the ferry terminal - it’s a gorgeous little town and by far my favourite. The North of the lake is quite a journey away by ferry but the central and south towns around the lake are still beautiful and each one has something different to offer. Even though this is my last day and unfortunately it is tipping down - the worst day I’ve ever experienced weather wise since I started visiting Lake Garda in 2000 and a sign of the times I think - it’s still a lovely environment to be in. Give it a try and you won’t be disappointed. I’m sure I’ll be back!!

We stayed at the Hotel du Lac et Bellevue from 6th to 16th September and wish it could have been longer. The location is superb, right by the Lake and just a 15 minute walk from the centre of Bardolino. The hotel is spacious at all levels, the bedrooms, the bar, the terrace and the sunbathing area. There were plenty of sun loungers so never any problem finding somewhere to soak up the sun. A four star hotel should always have class and this is no exception but what can make or break the enjoyment of a hotel is the staff and in this regard this hotel is 5 Star Plus! Everyone, our lovely housekeeper, the helpful and cheerful reception staff, all the bar service team and the restaurant waiting staff had a cheerful greeting and a smile and didn't seem to mind my poor attempts at speaking some Italian! I hesitate to single out individuals as everyone was great but all four of us appreciated Nino in the restaurant and Matteo and Calin serving on the terrace - sadly I didn't get the name of the young lady who seemed to be so full of energy and had a great sense of humour, a "pocket rocket"! The very hot weather didn't seem to affect anyone. The only negative to our entire holiday was something beyond the control of anyone, the biting insects! Perhaps the high temperatures and humidity had energised them, they certainly afflicted us all, my wife in particular. Maybe we'll have to return earlier in the year. A wonderful 10 days we will remember for many years!

Just back from a week at this hotel as part of a Tui half board package. We had a junior suite with partial lake view. The room was spacious, clean and very well equipped. The pillow menu was very useful. Breakfast and dinner were good with lots of choice. There were a couple of issues with slow service at dinner one night but otherwise all very efficient. The hotel is about 10 minutes stroll from the ferry port and the centre of Bardolino. Tourist Information office is about 10 mins away. The staff here were very helpful. The hotel provided entertainment on 3 evenings - not all to our taste but others seemed to enjoy it. All staff were pleasant and reception staff were particularly helpful. Great stay other than mosquitoes. Take your insect repellent.

This hotel is wonderful, all the staff from the cleaners to the general manager seem to be very happy and want to deliver you a great holiday. the food is fantastic, so are the drinks and seem to be branded names. I stayed in a junior suite with a lake view and the room was large and had everything you wanted. would I go back yes at a drop of a hat.
