This is an amazing B&B run by Mary Ann and her husband Jimmie. There house is amazing, spotless clean rooms. The breakfast was delicious and we sat out in the afternoon sunshine on our last day there on the wonderful decking overlooking the sea. Our gransons highlight was bottle feeding the baby lamb morning and afternoon for Jimmie. We hope to return Calmac permitting

We really enjoyed our stay with Mary Ann and Jimmy at Croit na h-Aibhne. We happened stay in the cottage, which provided us with a blend of the holiday cottage and B&B experiences. We had a great time exploring Barra, but particularly the immediate surroundings, from Heaval (mountain) to the cemetery on the Borve headland. The traditional breakfast was fantastic, and we also enjoyed the pizza we picked up from Joan’s Barra Pizza, just down the road.

Stunning and immaculate house. Mary Anne was very informative advising us of where to visit. Nothing was a chore, very helpful indeed Breakfast was lovely. We got to meet 'wee Jess' the new Collie pup in training when we were out. Barra is stunning

Cosy comfy room with all the amenities required. Close by to the beautiful beaches and had free parking available. Mary Anne was very friendly and welcoming and offered suggestions of places to go. Breakfast was fantastic, all home made with local produce

Lovely isolated house about five miles from Castlebay Ferry. Owner was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. There is a spacious guest lounge with lovely views and comfortable chairs/settees, made for good socialising. Furnishings were quite modern and comfortable in our room, although the wooden floors did creak quite a bit. Great breakfasts, very freshly cooked. Note that eating out in the evenings on the island is limited and it is essential to book well in advance. (See reviews for Cafe Kisimul and Castlebay Hotel)

My wife and I had a lovely couple of nights in Croit Na h-Aibhne Bed and Breakfast, the host was lovely, the room was spotless and the breakfast lovely. The only thing I would say is if you are a light sleeper take earplugs as you can hear people moving about and talking. This is not meant as a criticism, it's just the type of building. Would I go back...definitely.

A comfortable guest house in a great setting. Our host was very friendly and sorted out our first nights dinner at the Castlebay Hotel. The breakfast was very nice. Our room was a good size. Although there was a guest lounge with a TV it would be a bit cramped if all guests wanted to watch TV at the same time. Thus having a TV in the rooms is recommended. As our visit was in late September and a tad cold a warm room was needed. The host had to be asked to turn on the heating on both days. Not ideal.

Our room featured a very comfortable, large King bed with very nice bedding, as well as a nice sitting area. Dinner options in the area are extremely limited, so guests should research in advance to make arrangements for dinners. Full English/Scottish breakfast was provided by the B&B and was quite good.

There were six of us on this trip and we had a double room and a family room. The accommodation is beautiful and excellent attention to detail. Clean, comfortable and very well equipped. Sadly we were only here for one night as part of an island hopping tour we were doing. However, we wouldn't hesitate to return as its the perfect location with the most warm and welcoming hosts and a delicious HUGE breakfast to start your day.
