Travelodge Bath Waterside

This Travelodge is the best we have ever stayed in. Excellent staff, wish I knew all the names. The lady who we saw when we left was Sasha, really helpful in advising us and how to book a return stay. Rooms clean, comfortable and always lots of hot water for a shower. Restaurant staff and bar staff were lovely, menu good and buffet breakfast the best. This is a really super hotel.

Second visit to this hotel in last couple of months. In a good location and ( for Bath) s good price. Friendly staff a bonus

Great location, mostly friendly staff. Early checkin would cost extra £15. Room shown initially was terrible, small family, very bare, ground floor onlooking onto wheelie bins for dirty laundry and carpark – with NO privacy, no net curtain or window frosting. Carpark £9.50/24 hours (paid twice to have extra day for sight seeing.) Asked to change room to Annexe building which was slightly more pleasant, room more spacious, but still extremely bare! Only a single small protruding rail to hand up jackets. Nothing else. Walls all marked, very shabby, floor peeling away in the bathroom. Windows filthy dirty! ground outside a bit of a waste tip! Leaves and bit of garbage. Positives, some pleasant staff, great central waterside location next to canal/river, very easy to get to central Bath. The fact we were staying in Bath, should've had the baseline of quality set to a decent standard, but very sadly this was NOT the case. Very disappointing! Paid £96/night +£9.50 car parking/day. Very noisy at night time, light protruding into room. Very cold insufficient heating. Not a good sleep at all :-(

Breakfast was akin to food i would expect to be seved in a prison, dated rooms and a 24hr bar that has rooms above which receive constant complaints about excessive noise. Hotel is close to train station which is fantastic as you will want to get away asap, car parking is £8.70 to squeeze maximum cash out of its punters whilst staff remain totally petulant

This hotel does exactly what it says on the tin. A traveller wants somewhere clean, secure and comfortable, and this place ticks all the boxes. Our room was average size, with quite small bathroom. No frills, but the bed was comfortable and all the basics were supplied. Can't comment on breakfast as we ate out both days we stayed there - it's only a ten-minute stroll along the river and through the station to Bath City Centre where you're spoiled for choice for places to eat and drink. Would be entirely happy to stay there again.
