Nous sommes arrivés tard à la gare de Beppu et avons appelé l'hôtel, ils n'avaient pas de voiture à l'hôtel à ce moment-là, ils ont donc immédiatement trouvé un taxi pour venir nous chercher gratuitement. La chambre d'hôtel dispose de deux salles de bains privées, la chambre est de style japonais et occidental, ce qui est le meilleur. Nous avons choisi le teppanyaki pour le dîner. Nous ne mangeons pas de bœuf. L'hôtel a changé le menu pour nous. C'est vraiment réconfortant.

L'emplacement est très bon car il se trouve au milieu des sources chaudes de l'enfer. Les installations étaient bonnes et la nourriture était bonne. Le Wi-Fi ne fonctionnait pas, alors j'ai appelé le personnel, mais ils n'ont pas pu le réparer. J'ai réussi à trouver une solution que le personnel n'a pas pu trouver par moi-même. J'ai finalement résolu le problème après avoir découvert que les téléphones Samsung avaient une sécurité renforcée.

Très satisfait du service, l'environnement est élégant et magnifique, le serveur est très gentil et nous a présenté les installations de l'hôtel une par une. C'était la fête d'anniversaire de mon mari ce jour-là, et l'hôtel a envoyé une bouteille de vin mousseux gratuite et a également pris des photos pour nous. Envoyez-nous des photos lors de votre départ et faites-nous une petite surprise. La pièce dans laquelle je vis, le balcon peut voir le magnifique paysage de Beppu et le lever du soleil peut être vu, ce qui est très beau. La seule petite insatisfaction est le bain en plein air. La température de l'eau est trop chaude pour ajouter de l'eau froide, nous avons donc dû tremper dans le bain intérieur. Le teppanyaki du dîner était délicieux.Comme nous ne mangeons pas de poisson, l'hôtel nous a préparé un petit-déjeuner à l'occidentale, copieux et délicieux. 

My stay at Kannawaen Beppu was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. From the convenient shuttle van to the bus station to the thoughtful small amenities provided, every detail was handled with care. I especially loved the traditional ryokan experience—wearing a yukata to both dinner and breakfast made it feel truly authentic. The onsen was relaxing and beautifully maintained, adding to the peaceful atmosphere. The location is great too—just a short walk from Jigoku (the famous "hells" of Beppu). Dinner was a highlight: the teppanyaki course was not only delicious but well worth the money. The traditional Japanese breakfast the next morning was equally impressive—fresh, flavorful, and unlike anything you’d find at a typical hotel. Kannawaen is perfect for a short escape, whether you’re seeking relaxation, cultural experience, or both. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Beppu!

I highly recommend this hotel if you want the full ryokan experience. It offers a complete set of amenities, including yukata and an onsen bath. The bathroom is fully equipped, the interior is well-designed, and the room is very comfortable. The staff are friendly.

I recently stayed at Kannawaen Sanso Ryokan, and it was a truly remarkable experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff’s warm hospitality made me feel welcomed and relaxed. The ryokan is set in a beautiful, serene location, surrounded by nature, offering a peaceful retreat from daily life. The room was spacious and tastefully decorated in traditional Japanese style, blending modern comforts with authentic charm. The private onsen attached to my room was a highlight, allowing me to unwind in soothing hot springs while taking in the picturesque views. What truly sets Kannawaen apart is the attention to detail and personalized service. The staff went out of their way to ensure everything was perfect, making me feel truly cared for throughout my stay. If you’re looking for a luxurious, tranquil getaway with impeccable service and a true Japanese experience, I highly recommend Kannawaen Sanso Ryokan. It’s a place we would love to visit again. The room with the onsen was convenient and offered a great experience. It was spacious enough for three adults with large suitcases, and the futon was very comfortable. Dinner was excellent as well. A wonderful place to stay! The staff was amazing, reaching out a week before our check-in to ask about our group and dinner preferences. We were so happy with our stay. Thank you, Sanso Kannawaen, for taking such great care of us!

We booked the Sora western room type, which was described as having two double beds and three futon beds. However, upon arrival, I didn't see any futon beds in the room nor were they offered. In terms of service, I expected a better introduction to the rooms given the price I am paying. We received a very simple introduction to the common area, but didn't get a room tour showing where things are located, which Yukata to wear indoors and outdoors, etc. I've paid a similar price for another onsen hotel where we received a much better reception upon arrival. We did ask for breakfast in the room for more privacy, and while we were able to do that for half the price at other hotels in Fukuoka, the staff didn't seem to understand when we asked about it. Overall, the amenities and room are really good, but service-wise, it's hit or miss.
