This is very much a 'curate's egg' sort of 'hotel'. The quotes are because I thought, from the website, that this was a full-service hotel. It's actually an apart-hotel, basically a BnB with nothing else. No catering, no coffee-making in the room, no services, no bar. It's located right by the Eberswald Str stop in the U2 line, so if that's good for you, then this is a good place to be. A double bed is *not* two singles pushed together. The idea of a shower door/enclosure is that it keeps the water in ; the provided floor towel is necessary. The shower mixer is just that, without thermostatic control; this means that the water temperature may surprise you, one way or another, if someone else showers or flushes. It may not be a surprise, as the shower head fixture may have relaxed again to point elsewhere. No, I didn't have the necessary wrench and screwdriver needed to fix it. We arrived during a heatwave, so the lack of aircon was initially a downer. However, being on the 5th floor, in the roofspace, wasn't too bad as the windows could be opened and the height meant that the breeze did the job. The breakfasts are good enough, the machine-produced 'Caffè Crema' is a workable black coffee(yes, I know the name suggests otherwise). Don't worry about the appearance of a building site at the entrance put you off, there's a lot of it about. Wear a mask on public transport, remember that cyclists have right-of-way over (or through) pedestrians, and *really* don't jaywalk. No, I won't be back to this hotel again. Yes, I will visit Berlin again, as it's a city with a great vibe.
