With a group of ten "recyled teenagers" we spent a week at the Premier Inn, Berwick, for our annual group holiday. The Hotel has obviously been recently refurbished, and was very clean and everything worked as it should. All the floors were served by two lifts, which meant that there was very little waiting time. We had a mixture of twin, and family rooms. Our room was a twin room with double bed, and quite the best shower I've ever found in a hotel. The room was also equipped with plenty of plug sockets, some with USB ports so necessary in this day and age, even for Senior Citizens. The hotel is located at the bottom end of the town, right by the waterfront and harbour, and right by the City Walls, which make an excellent walk. We mostly ate at the hotel using the excellent "Meal deal", which provides a great breakfast, so much choice it was impossible not to overeat, and for dinner two courses from a menu that again had lots of choices of well prepared food, and a drink. Try to avoid having the Choclate Sundae every night, but do have it at least once! All this for £27 pounds, what's not to like? So far I've gone on about the hotel, which was excellent, but the real stars of the show were the staff. They were GREAT, right from the off when we went in and they carefully explained everything, to everyday, when they cheerfully answered our questions, were genuinely interest in what we 'd been doing and kept us entertained with their banter to the goodbyes. I've never met such a great team. If Premier Inn have a team of the year award this lot fully desreve it. As you can tell we had a great time, and would happily go back again.
