I stayed for two weeks in Bethlehem. Joey and his family are beautiful people. Kind, generous, warm, and make you feel at home. Please note: There's Alexander Cafe, right next to and connected to Alexander Hotel. You'll find Joey in there from early morning until past midnight, working his ass off, but always has time for a smile and a chat. The food is awesome too - meatballs, aubergines, falafel, whatever you can imagine. A buffet too! I always go for the Wild Berry smoothie. Always fruity, never too sugary. Plus, the family speak excellent English (Joey's got a strong American accent and is as bilingual as they come) and have unbelievably cute kids. Just really positive vibes; I've eaten / slurped a smoothie there on most days of my trip.
