I have travelled all over the world and can honestly say that Notarishius is the best B&B I have ever stayed in. If you like elegance, classiness but also luxurious comfort then I cannot recommend it enough. Everywhere is spotlessly clean, airy and immaculately kept and it has been decorated and styled so beautifully. I had the choice of two rooms when I arrived and both were stunning but as I was on my own, I chose the slightly smaller one downstairs because it overlooked the beautiful garden with its terrace, swimming pool (hot weather use only) and abundance of bird life and a couple of pet rabbits. The room, like the rest of the building, was scrupulously clean, bright and well equipped with tea making facilities, a mini fridge, huge tv with satellite channels and Netflix etc. Very large and comfortable bed with cotton sheets and extra pillows in the wardrobes and even a comfy fleece robe and toiletries. My room had doors that opened out onto the garden and even though it was January, it was still nice to be able to walk outside or have a morning cup of tea out there. Seema and her husband Bert, really made me feel welcome, nothing was too much trouble. They live there and it certainly feels like a home from home, especially if you like the sound of their two boys giggles which would brighten anyone’s day. The breakfast has a lot of choice and fresh with amongst other things, dried fruits, nuts, yoghurts, pro-biotic drinks, a selection of fresh breads, cheeses, meats and smoked salmon and cereals. I also had scrambled egg but didn’t ask what else was on the hot menu, as I couldn’t have managed any more. There is also fresh juice, various teas and coffees. As it is a B&B there is no lunch or dinner but as it is on the market square, there are plenty of places to eat and there is even a very nice restaurant next door and a bakery over the road. The Market place was pretty in January with its temporary ice rink and food stalls with a backdrop of a beautiful church and lots of clothes shops and pretty much anything else you wish to buy like chocolatiers, hairdressers, bars etc. The rain station is less than a 10 minute casual walk and the train ride from Beveren to Brussels airport only requires 1 easy change. I don’t write many reviews, only when I have had exceptional service and my 4 day stay was fabulous. If I came back to Beveren, I wouldn’t even contemplate staying anywhere else.
