The lobby was pretty with an upscale rustic look. The check-in desk clerk was super friendly and helpful. We had a ground floor double queen room (not in the historic wing) and our window looked onto the back yards of the neighboring houses. There were blinds but no blackout curtains so bring your sleep mask if you want darkness. It was a small room but the layout worked well. The bathroom was large with a very nice tiled walk-in shower. The vanity was tall to accommodate the extra deep sink. Nice, thick towels were provided. The décor included a Theodore Roosevelt themed teddy bear and a coffee table book about Medora, both of which were available for purchase at the front desk. We parked in the small lot behind the hotel and there was a card-key door at that entrance which was very convenient to our room.

Great place to stay for visiting the parks! Beautiful lobby and clean rooms. We ate once at the restaurant and then 2 other places in town. Not much was open yet when we were here the first weeks of May but there was enough for us. Make sure you grab a lunch to go at the nearby convenience store! Great for taking into the park!

Delightful well-appointed large room. Only wish there was a view of the cliffs instead of just tree branches. Highly recommend eating in Theodore's restaurtant. Our meal of Bison Osso Bucco, salad and truffle fries if I remember correctly was delicious.

Beautiful, historic, hotel in Medora. We stayed in the historic Theodore Roosevelt room #501. It is a beautiful hotel with excellent staff who are very informative and helpful. The restaurant onsite is convenient. Breakfast was the only meal we had here. The menu had a variety of choices and it was delicious. Room #501 is impressive and well worth the experience.

My husband and I had dinner at the Rough Riders restaurant. My husband had Walleye and I had Blackened salmon, it was so delicious. The dinners came with salad, the most delicious bread, Wild/brown rice and Asparagus. Portion sizes were large and I took some switch me. Service was excellent. Atmosphere too. Prices reasonable. Atmosphere great.

Although the Rough Riders Hotel was ~$300/night, it provided an excellent hotel to stay in for a tourist area. The location is hard to beat, being just a few blocks from the park entrance and within walking distance to shops, restaurants, and ice cream. The rooms were quiet, spacious, and even informative with a nice touch of a book on Teddy and Medora history. The shower was top notch! The staff was multi-national and helpful for our needs.

We spent the night here after spending the day exploring Theodore Roosevelt National Park. The hotel is in the center of town with parking available at the new end of the building. We opted to stay in the old section which meant a trek through the building and up the stairs. The elevator is in the newer section. The rooms were adorable but not large. The bathrooms were very nice. Each room has a teddy bear. We ate at the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. It was very pleasant but just slightly above average for food. The bar was great. The bartender mixed us special cocktails that were both beautiful and delicious. The hotel has a lovely lobby with a great collection of books. A great place to stay when visiting the park.
