The Scala Hotel

From the moment that we stepped through the door, we were amazed by the gorgeous decoration and Art-Deco style of The Scala. The lovely Linda and Tony greeted us with smiles and a cheery attitude, and it was clear that they would be incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. From remembering small personal things we had told them about, to taking time writing down our breakfast order, the first impressions of them were amazing! We were shown around the gorgeous old hotel (built in the art deco era), with a sun lounge, games room (with darts and a pool table), the bar and the dining room on the bottom floor, all beautiful and very vintage. On the table, there were many vintage items from the 1920s and 1930s, as well as a type-writer telling us all about the hotel. They were plenty of leaflets, brochures and maps of the area, which had lots of activities and things to experience. In the room, we saw how there were lots of provided snacks, drinks and a mini-fridge, which were all replenished during our stay. The beds were extremely comfortable and the room was gorgeous. At breakfast, there were many cereals and spreads out, as well as juice on each table and water (that we had asked for). Linda and Tony then served us with our delicious food, which was straight out of the oven. I am a vegetarian and Linda and Tony had made sure to provide vegetarian sausages for me. The hotel is very near to the pleasure beach, the beach and lots of other attractions, and Linda and Tony were very helpful if we had any questions about travel or Blackpool! Overall this was an amazing stay, we will definitely be back!! The Baileys

Recently stayed here for a weekend .Tony and Linda were very friendly and welcoming for the minute we arrived ,they made our stay very relaxing and enjoyable spotless clean room warm cosy great night sleep , breakfast was absolutely beautiful. Just couple minutes walk to tram service next to pleasure beach . Tony and Linda went above and beyond for their guests nothing was too much trouble we had some great chats , will definitely recommend and stay there again next time in Blackpool

What a lovely stay at this hotel,Linda and Tony were very welcoming when we arrived, beds very comfy and best breakfast I’ve had at a hotel, close to the tram line and in a nice quiet area, room was spotless and the boys enjoyed the pool table and dart board ,would defo recommend staying here

Amazing stay at The Scala, hosts Linda and Tony were so welcoming and friendly. Hotel is in the best location, close to the Pleasure Beach, pier and beach, also close to the tram stop. Our family room was beautiful and extremely clean. The room was set out really well too. Wifi was excellent, the pool table and darts were an added bonus aswell as the well priced bar. I also have to say the breakfast was one of the nicest breakfasts we've ever had. Linda and Tony also let us keep our car at the hotel whilst we went to the pleasure beach after we had checked out. After spending a day at the pleasure beach in the rain,they let us use the bathroom and gave us towels so we could dry off and change. Would highly recommend this hotel and we will definitely be back soon. Thank you Linda and Tony.

Fabulous Stay! Thankyou Linda and Tony for making our family of 9 feel so welcomed, such a warm friendly couple and nothing was too much trouble! My toddler settled straight in and felt so at home, she even took her shoes off at the door every time we went back! Everyone loved the hotel decor, rooms were nice and clean and beds were very comfortable, the full English breakfast was delicious and we really enjoyed sitting in the bar in the evening with a game of pool or darts. Really great place to stay overall and would highly recommend if you are going to Blackpool to stay here. Another plus is that it is in a quiet location, free parking and can get public transport easily too. Thankyou again ! Harriet & Family X

Toni and Linda are such a lovely couple. They made us feel so welcome when we stayed. The room was clean and good sized. Breakfast was beautiful. Would definitely stay here again beautiful, friendly and homely.
