Had a 2 night stay, rooms were to the usual reasonable standard, I felt somewhat sealed in as windows had no facility for opening, possibly for security as we were on the ground floor. Air conditioning stopped at sometime in the night and it became far to warm so we didn't have a goods night sleep. Major issue we've subsequently had is being fined for parking. Fine says time of 1530 which is when we arrived and the blue badge was displayed straight away. It was a hire car so we've had an additional admin charge of £35 to pay and we're still waiting for a commuication from the parking management company Horizon. We will be appealing but could do without the grief. Breakfast on day one was in very short supply, must have had a rush on before we arrived, second morning was fine. Ate there on the second evening and it was dissapointing, both had steak pie and the crusts were burnt, had to invert them as a knife wouldn't go through the lid. Pointed it out to a waitress and she just shrugged her shoulders! I've stayed at a few Premier Inns and will be again but not this one. Great location for anyone looking to have a trip on the steam railway.
