"We spent a few nights here in April 2024. We usually take 10 days and go to Europe in April but this year we had to stay close to home. I found this last minute and it was a nice time. Staff is very friendly. We were the only people on the resort one night but even the nights when there were other people it was peaceful. We got one of the tents with the outdoor tub. It was great sitting in it and looking at the stars. The clawfoot tub was luxury. My husband loved cooking with their cast iron. We walked down to the river. We brought all of our food with us and never left once we got there. It was exactly what we needed. No, it wasn't a fancy vacation, but it was calm, lowkey and relaxing. We would not hesitate coming back in the spring or winter. I am not sure I would want to be there in the heat of Texas summer even with the mini splits. Thank you, Walden owners and staff, for a respite from our daily lives."

"Le centre-ville est situé dans le centre-ville de l'hôtel, où il est situé dans le centre-ville de l'hôtel. La chambre était spacieuse (seconde chambre avec salle de séjour séparée) et immaculatement propre. Les employés étaient aimables et utiles. La vibe est réinitialisée... presque AirBnB-ish. Aucun n'était au bureau avant quand on y est arrivé, mais il y avait une note avec mon nom sur le compteur avec la clé de la chambre (une clé réelle... pas une carte clé). Quand nous avons vu le bureau de front plus tard, elle a demandé si nous avions eu des problèmes ou si nous avions besoin de quelque chose. Non... tout était bon! Il y a un petit menu pour la nourriture, y compris le petit déjeuner, mais nous n'y avons pas mangé, donc je ne peux pas commenter ça. Si nous avons besoin d'un hôtel à Blanco, je serais heureux de rester ici."

"I spent 2 nights at the Blue Retreat Cottage as part of a trip to the Hill Country. I had passed thru Blanco a few years ago and loved the town so wanted to spend some more time there. Great town I recommend you check it out. I thought the cottage was perfect for me. Enjoyed the deck and had coffee there each morning. Access to the State Park is right thru a gate in the backyard which was convenient as I like to take morning walks. Lots of deer around in the morning! All in all I enjoyed my time here and will definitely stay here again!"
