We have spent 1 fantastic night at Bjork Guesthouse as a last minunte booking due to a problem with another hotel in the same area. We have soon loved the kidness and the warmth of the owner, we guess this is the first and very important visiting card for an accomodation, when you feel really welcome as it happened to us! The place is an old renovated house since 1930 but fully furnished with everything you might need. We had a private wonderful bathroom, a huge sleeping room with 2 double beds and even a yummy icelandic chocolate as welcome! We have loved the peace of the area and the beauty of the whole environment. Very recommended it

J’ai passé un agréable séjour dans l’hôtel. Il est idéalement situé dans le Cercle d’or. Un petit point d’honneur au personnel de l’hôtel qui a récupéré et gardé ma valise (perdu par Islandair) jusqu’à mon arrivé à l’hôtel. De même j’avais oublié un AirPods à l’hôtel et le dirigeant me l’a gentiment et expressément renvoyer jusqu’en France !!! Je recommande vivement

la jeune femme de l accueil etait sympathique; le leiu , une ancienne école =, a su conservée un côté désuet. La chambre que nous avons eu etait grande et propre, les sanitaires et douches communes un peu vieillottes ; il y a plusieurs douches dans la meme pieces(ça peut ennuyer certains). La déco a gardé des meubles de l epoque d el ecole, les photos des promotions d eleveset de sancies professeurs ornent les murs. C est dépaysant. Bien situé dans un endroit tres touristique de l islande çà peut être aussi une etape avant ou apres d emprunter la piste F35. Et si vous allez vous promener au bord du lac, en ete il y a beaucoup de moucherons inoffensifs mais un peu genants (comme a Myvatn)

This is my first review on trip advisor. After a long vacation, , taking the time to write a review was never on my list. As a busy mom of four, I was always headed straight to the laundry room when I got home. However, I do feel this review needs written regarding our stay at these cabins First of all, our travel agent booked our stay. We paid her company directly and not a booking company online. She told me that this resort had good reviews on trip advisor and that is why she chose to book our stay there. Trusting she is in this business and knows what to look for, we allowed her to take control. She has never failed us before. Upon arrival, one of our 2 cabins was not ready so we had to wait 2 hours until we could get into our cabin. Which was fine for us and not a huge problem because we had the other cabin our kids were in to sit and wait. The young girl at check in was very sweet as well as the lady cleaning the cabins. Our cabin windows were all closed due to the late cleaning which, we understood. The weather was unusually hot while we were there making the cabins around 85 degrees inside. When we immediately opened the windows, as warned at the front desk, flying biting insects flooded our cabin so we shut the windows quickly leaving the biting insects inside and the cabin becoming a sauna and feeding frenzy for the pests. When I called the main desk to ask if they had a fan, they said they did not and advised us to use insect spray on our bodies to help us sleep. Not only were the flying insects a problem, while sweating and literally picking flying insects off your body, sand fleas were also jumping on you from the main living area. At 1:00 am, 2 of our family members chose to move into the car to sleep while the others slept on the linoleum floor trying to stay cool. We left in the morning before anyone was even at the check out counter since it closes at 9pm and opens later in the morning. We chose to leave even though we had paid for 2 more nights ..paying for 2 cabins. You can do the math. These cabins are quaint yet, dated. They are located in an untamed vast natural area. I completely understand that the environment cannot be controlled. However, screens do exists in the area as we noted while exploring the country. Management knew and warned us about the flying insects yet, failed to invest in fans or screens which both, repel biting midges. After our experience, I invested time into reading previous reviews and realized this was not their first review regarding these issues. Furthermore, the manager, unprofessionally replied to a previous review calling the customer “clumsy” because she tripped on the flooring entering the bathroom. K.R, the managers initials clearly needs to attend a workshop on people skills and should not be in the customer service business. His replies are harsh and insulting. His unpolished personality is a reflection of the type of service and overall stay in the cab

The cabins are generally quite reasonable, relative to the price in Iceland. We enjoyed the stay, just one night. We chose the place due to its proximity to the geysers and waterfalls Brúarfoss, Gullfoss, Brúarhlöð The view is quite good, it was hard to see the glow due to the lights of the place. The place is nicely maintained, the kitchen is fully equipped, nothing was missing for cooking dinner. Bedrooms are small in bed size, but there is a spacious living room and dining area, so there was no problem of space to conduct oneself in the cabin. The service is human for a change in Iceland - not with receiving a code to open a small safe with a key as it was in most of our places. You get a key and directions to the cabin from the reception, located in the hotel restaurant. The menu of the place looks good, but we did not eat in the restaurant. There is a jacuzzi and shared pool, which didn't look the most inviting, but we didn't use them due to the weather. You are asked, as in many places, to take the garbage with you and wash the dishes. All in all, good and highly recommended service.

Le point de vente de cette maison est la localisation. Le géyser et le gilet d'or sont très proches de la zone de paysage chaud et de la zone de repos, situé dans le cercle d'or. Il y a N1 station-service et un restaurant familial Mika très bon à la porte. Shiq aliments spécialisés de diverses espèces de laungoustine et de chocolat en Islande, les principaux services des habitants sont également accueillis par les touristes. Il y a une ferme à foyers de grande taille Fridhelma qui offre un déjeuner spécial (12-16 point): dans une serre pleine de tomates et de fleurs, il y a un buffet-déjeuner avec de la soupe de sauce et du pain, et un bar, et un salon de chevals pour les clients. Les attractions à proximité sont également la ville chaude de Fludir qui peut être chaude.

Superbe hôtel , chambre spacieuse et très propre , déco magnifique ! Cadre idéal ! Personnel très agréable ! Allez y les yeux fermés ! Petit dej superbe ! Excellent rapport qualité prix ! Vu sur le geyser pendant le petit déjeuner ! Réservez les yeux fermés !
