Bodega Bay Inn

Very nice friendly service. Host carried our bags upstairs for us. Every room is unique. Ours was spacious, comfortable and Quiet! Lounge room provided coffee, dishes,and a refrigerator/microwave/toaster for everyone to use. They even have a lounge room for dogs.

Dingy, smelly, rundown. The owners clearly are not concerned with providing a decent motel experience to their guests. It’s called Bodega Bay Inn. But, Inn is a misuse of the word. Low level motel is a better description. The woman working the front desk was clearly unconcerned about helping the guests.

The Bodega Bay Inn was an unexpected delight for my whole family. It felt almost like a bed and breakfast, with only 7 rooms, and each one unique. The outdoor and indoor sitting/gathering/ relaxing spaces were such a nice touch. Staff was very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Would recommend this place to anyone and everyone!

Recently, my girlfriend and I spent two fantastic days at the bodega Bay Lodge, We had a wonderful time. The accommodations were excellent. The meals were great and the things to do at the lodge, including pools, hot tubs, sauna,bocce ball, access to hiking and a round of golf. While doing all this, we had time to travel from one area to another and experience what makes California so beautiful. The small towns, beautiful California hills, and all the variety of food, seafood, seasonal crops that provide us with something to eat year-round. I thank the owner and the staff for providing us with a great experience. In closing one of the best things that happened was that we met a number of people that had similar experiences at the lodge and continue to repeat them.

Try the Bodega Bay Inn as your destination. You won’t be disappointed. We booked two rooms, ourselves and our son’s family. One day Andy called. He noticed the rooms were in two different buildings and suggested relocating our son to the one building. Super, worked out very well. We were in the primary building in Room #7. It has an enclosed “lockable” outdoor patio. This worked quite well for my son, who brought bicycles and a paddleboard. He could leave the items in the patio while out and about each day and overnight. Since the Inn has a limited number of rooms in each of the buildings, it’s a nice quite place. Our room had a walk-in shower, an extra “day-bed” for a third person if need be, a fridge/ Also it had two skylights with remote controlled shades; very nice if you don’t want the morning sun to awaken you. The kitchen area on the main floor is a jewel. Great place to bring in breakfast or even a take-out meal and sit at real table and chairs. Great quantity of tableware and utensils; plus there is a large refrigerator in addition to the “college” fridge in the room.. Andy was at the reception desk most often over the weekend. As an amateur astronomer, he volunteered to bring in his telescope to point out objects for my granddaughter and family members. Sweet. The location is great as there is easy drivable access to state parks, crab shacks, oyster restaurants, country-stores, etc. – all within a few minutes’ drive. Across from the Inn, there’s a small coffee shop with a limited selection, and to our surprise, a great restaurant Terrapin Creek (a Michelin Guide location – wow).

My wife and I made reservations for a one night stay on the same afternoon that we wanted to stay. The person who answered my call was polite and efficient in gathering information from me. We were met at the front desk when we arrived after dark by a friendly guy who recommended a great seafood restaurant only a mile away from the inn. While the inn does not serve breakfast, there is a well outfitted "kitchen" for guests to make single cup coffee, tea, or hot chocolate in the morning. There is an additional Coffee Shop acoss the parking lot that opens early and serves coffee and pastries. We brought coffee and a couple of tasty pastries back to our room before we got back on the road in the morning.
