We really enjoyed our holiday. There were minor issues such as the unit wasn’t very clean when we arrived. The air con wasn’t working but maintenance arrived quickly to sort it out. There was no bottle opener but a call to reception and one was supplied to us. The resort is set in beautiful gardens it’s very hilly and wouldn’t suit people who struggle with steps. The views are absolutely stunning. It’s like a little house with a terrace. There’s an outdoor fireplace with a cooking area above it, for barbecues. You can buy firewood etc locally. We enjoyed the different areas of the resort, the pools, the beach and the gardens. The staff were so friendly and helpful despite the communication difficulties at times, we enjoyed good humour in trying to communicate and the staff always managed to find a way to understand us. The resort is mostly used by Turkish families who were friendly and we enjoyed being in a resort which gives you an experience of local people and their cultures. A couple of nights we couldn’t sleep as families seemed to stay outside all night talking, but we made up for sleep on our sunbeds. We enjoyed waking to Turgutreis about an hours walk along the beach, passing through local resorts, bars and restaurants. The resort have turnstiles here and there with security points where you use a blue band to activate and access. There are security patrols and there’s a lifeguard at the beach. There’s an hourly bus to take guests to and from the beach it runs until 7:15 pm There’s a shop at the resort which stocks basics, the owner will get anything you need if it’s not in the shop. There are restaurants in walking distance. Lots of stray cats and dogs everywhere, though they weren’t a problem for us. We used Turkish lire and a credit card (local currency option) to pay for restaurants etc. In resort everything is charged to your room, sign and receipt given, pay at checkout.
