We stayed here for 6 nights as part of our first international trip with our 7 month old. It was perfect as a Tuscan getaway with a baby. I’d say it’s a perfect resort for solo, couples, and family travels with young kids. I’m not sure it would keep older kids and teens excited enough but they were so kind and accommodating for babies. They provided a pack n play (travel cot) that was longer and slightly taller than standard size, and also a baby tub for the shower. Our table with a high chair was always ready for our dinner reservation. The apartment: we stayed in the Vasari apartment which I believe we booked as a junior suite. It was a 2 bed, 1 bath unit with a small kitchen. Being on the back side, ground/garden floor of one of the buildings, it was rather dark without lights but that was perfect for our baby as we could give him his own room and not worry about much sound or light. The room and resort as a whole was old but in a good way with so much character. If you’re looking for a modern stay with updated rooms and new everything this isn’t it, but not in a bad way. They could use some modern touches though like lamps with USB chargers. The Resort: so amazing with the right combination of amenities but also quiet and semi private-feeling. It never felt crowded and the staff were all kind and helpful with our little one, especially the restaurant. We enjoyed the pool, although not being heated it was a bit chilly for our baby. Next time we would enjoy the bike rentals and more time on the playground area behind the pool by the fields. The reception staff also helped with planning a few local wine tours and activity suggestions. Restaurant: we wanted a stay that had a full service restaurant with at least breakfast and dinner. We ate the small breakfast buffet every day, some days taking it back to our room. We loved the spread and were happy they had bacon and eggs every day. The dinners were amazing and the menu had enough options and changes every few days to keep it interesting. Truffle night was the best. Overall we would stay here again for a Tuscan get away. The location was convenient enough for a trip to Florence or a few wineries, with enough to do for a few relaxing days on property. For a more excursion based trip though, I would probably stay closer to Florence or more southern Tuscany. The staff were all kind and helpful and the grounds were well kept.
