The Crown Hotel, Boroughbridge, North Yorkshire - Part of the Coaching Inn Group

The hotel is lovely and nost of the staff friendly and helpful. Had a lovely meal in the restaurant 1st evening. Breakfast was ok but could do with more fruit available. Our room was clean and pleasant apart for 2 things. The location (room 30) is right in front of the stairs and you therefore hear everyone else coming up and down at all hours. Was not too much of an issue. What was an issue was the exceptionately hot towel rail. Too hot to touch and made the bathroom into a sauna and the bedroom too hot for comfort. Overall a pleasant stay. Lovely location in Buroughbridge.

Apart from the pool & leisure facilities not being accessible due to refurb, the hotel & staff lived up to high expectations. The staff could not be more accommodating, especially Emma & Mathew

We were looking for a hotel with a pool - for a relaxing 2 day break. Came across this hotel which seemed to have everything we wanted. It has easy and secure parking. The room, whilst not big had everything we needed - bath and shower, comfortable bed and pillows, coffee pod machine, tea and biscuits. The staff were, without exception, excellent - friendly, polite, professional and efficient. They could not have done more to make our stay comfortable. The pool was lovely - easily big enough. There was a jacuzzi, a steam room and a sauna. This is not a spa with treatments but it is a lovely place to have a swim and relax. The changing room could be upgraded and only had one cubical - but it was acceptable. The food was good. There was a very good choice and it was fairly priced. Wine was a bit pricey - house wine £30 but they were all good wines - so you didn't mind paying. There was a coffee area serving coffee and cakes throughout the day and a well stocked bar. It was a very relaxing place to stay- very good value (they were doing some good one and two night deals) and very enjoyable. Boroughbridge is a good location - close to Harrogate, Knaresborough, York and easy access to the two Yorkshire National Parks I would recommend and we are looking forward to returning'

Been to this establishment this past weekend for my birthday trip, I will break down my review to the following categories: Location: Great location in Boroughbridge town centre, easy access to local shops and restaurants. Hotel in general: Communal areas nice 👍 A few maintenance issues in my room. Peeling wallpaper and peeling bath surface. And the sink didn’t hold water, it just drained out. Leisure facilities: Good Leisure facilities, the hottest hot tub I have ever used! Unfortunately the pool/spa was closed due to a fault on our last day. Good gym. Restaurant: Nice food and good service, even though a mistake was made by the staff members, it didn’t ruin our restaurant experience.

Lovely warm reception staff very helpful meals were excellent large choices and breakfast was excellent will definitely be back our superior room which was number 33 was beautiful everything was lovely and cosy we only stayed one night this time but next time we will definitely stay longer can’t praise it enough

We we stayed for a date and thought this was a lovely spot, albeit that it is somewhat tired and dated We had a nice room at the back of the hotel, which is very comfortable although the bathroom needed a full refurbishment The staff were absolutely fantastic, particularly the general manager Emma Gee who helped us out of a tight spot when we were unable to get a taxi and she very kindly drove us down the road where we were having a late lunch The bar area is very comfortable and we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay We had a very hearty breakfast and will look forward to the next time we visit
