Make it your base for exploring this beautiful part of Lincolnshire. It's only 2 miles from the Lincolnshire Wolds, a 200 square mile Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a short drive from deserted, sandy beaches or traditional seaside resorts. It's situated in the heart of the village of North Thoresby, with shops and two pubs with restaurants. It also has the Lincolnshire Wolds Railway, which operates steam trains most weekends. There are many country walks to be enjoyed in the vicinity. The Georgian market town of Louth, with its many independent shops, bars, restaurants, and other attractions is 7 miles away and horse racing at Market Rasen can be reached in 20 minutes by car. It's a similar distance to the motor cycling circuit at Cadwell Park. The cathedral city of Lincoln can be reached in 45 minutes. There are many, fine golf courses in the area.Park your car in the private, off-road space and enjoy the lovely gardens with yew hedging, weeping willow tree and ornamental borders. To the front of the cottage there's a flagstone patio, with table and chairs. The entrance door leads into an open plan dining area and fully fitted kitchen. There's a cosy lounge, with fireplace, comfortable furnishings, and large screen TV with radio and access to streaming services. Upstairs is a luxuriously furnished double bedroom with a cosy double bed, 4 seasons duvet and high thread count, white bed linen. The bedroom also enjoys garden views and has a chest of drawers, dressing table and large, built in wardrobe. The very spacious bathroom has a white suite which includes a full-size bath, wash basin, WC, and separate shower. Pond View is a spacious cottage set within the hosts large pretty garden within the beautiful village of North Thoresby. Located in a quiet location. The cottage is dog friendly. It has a range of amenities, two local shops (5mins walk from the Cottage), 2 popular pubs/restaurant. Near to Louth , a traditional market town, Cadwell Park and Cleethorpes a thriving seaside resort. Surrounding beautiful Wolds can be seen from the bedroom window and offers many scenic walks. In winter months visit Donna Nook and see the seals and their pups.The cottage has a spacious upstairs bedroom with patio doors overlooking the tranquil gated pond, (where guest may sit). Kingsize bed with wardrobes and dressing table/work station. The downstairs is open plan with the kitchen area being fully equipped with an oven, Induction hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, airfryer and toaster. It has a large breakfast bar with seating. There is a large wet room with shower, sink and toilet, towels are provided. The cosy lounge area has sofas and a flat screen TV with freeview and fire place. There is free wifi throughout the cottage. The cottage has views over the large pretty garden and pond. The Wolds can be seen from the bedroom window.Guests have access to a private sunken area with a table and chairs which is not overlooked and they can also sit around our tranquil pond and you may see Kevin our terrapin. Guest are also welcome to walk around our family garden. If you are bringing your family pet (please remember to book them in also there is a £10 charge), separate towels will be provided for those dirty paws; we ask that they remain supervised whilst in our garden.
