Come and enjoy old Avon Village on a quiet one way street. The Surfstead suite offers an eclectic blend of island history, craftsmanship and comfort in one of the oldest houses on Hatteras island. There is a private deck and entrance leading into a living and dining area equipped with a Roku tv. Prepare your meals in the fully stocked kitchenette. The bedroom has a queen size bed with another Roku tv, and a full bathroom with a tile shower. A private hot tub too! We look forward to sharing "This old house" with others! Built at the turn of the 20th century, the house has weathered many storms and with a lot of TLC she is ready to weather more. This unique space has all a traveling surfer or couple would need to enjoy all Avon has to offer. Centrally located, the beach is a 10 minute walk away as are numerous restaurants and epic sunset spots such as Avon Harbor. The suite is a completely private space, as is the outdoor shower and hot tub. Guests are free to enjoy the suite in its entirety including the private outdoor living space. We live in the upstairs space as a small family of 4. We do not party or stay up late but during the day you may hear our young daughter from time to time. We always try and be as respectful as possible! Always tranquil, there is no other neighborhood quite like Scarborough Town own Hatteras island. We have laundry facilities upstairs which we are happy to share with guests if they find themselves in need to freshen up their boardies after a few long, hot days on the beach. Comfortable home-feel type large modern studio apartment with high ceilling. Second floor, no elevator. Private space and separate entry. Enjoy the quiet space, gorgeous sunset view, and beautiful landscape, and smell the roses (during the season.) Listen to the birds, and smell the salty air and relaxing. Cozy large bedroom, large bathroom, and walk-in closet. Smart TV with Netflix access. Small fridge with freezer, microwave, and coffee maker. No kitchen. Plates, cups, glasses, and silverware are included. Paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, dish soap, coffee filters, and sugar. There are linens for the bed and one set of bath towels but please bring your own beach towels.We have one double bike, three regular bikes, a kayak for two people, and a stand-up paddleboard. These are shared among guests from two other apartments. We don't have direct access to the water. However, we're a two-minute walk to the Albemarle Sound access, and a boardwalk makes it perfect for a sunset stroll. We're about a ten-minute walk to the ocean. There's a distant view of the ocean from the bathroom and closet windows Bedroom faces the sound but the water view is blocked by trees. Please note that the studio is located on the 2nd floor via outdoor stairs. A canal front, cozy and modern tiny house right in Southern Shores. We thought of everything that will make your stay as relaxing as possible. A short 5 minute car ride and 10 min bike ride to the closest beach access, coffee shops and local dining. We offer 2 bikes and 2 beach chairs for your stay. Pamlico sound-front custom home completed in early 2022. It's located in the village of Salvo at the end of the road and is surrounded by large Live Oaks and natural fauna. Your private front entrance into unit #2 is the brown/glass door on the right side of the home. The 10' ceilings make the retreat feel incredibly spacious. It includes a coffee maker, a fridge/freezer, a microwave, a ceiling fan, and linens. The custom-tiled bathroom has a solid-surface double vanity and a large glass-enclosed tile shower. The shared outdoor space includes the front lanai with comfortable furniture, the enclosed outdoor shower, and the pier. The HVAC is centrally controlled and automatically adjusts for comfortable temperatures throughout the day and evening. When it comes to beach access, the options are plentiful. A quick drive takes you to Rodanthe beach access, which offers a bathhouse, outdoor showers, picnic tables, and an oceanfront gazebo. For those looking for a more adventurous beach experience, Ramp 25 provides year-round 4WD access to the beaches south of Salvo. If you want to walk, it's 7-10 minutes, depending on the pace. Whether you're an angler, a surfer, or someone who enjoys the serenity of coastal life, this home provides convenient access to various recreational activities. This sound front retreat is a great home base for visiting the Outer Banks and Hatteras Island. It is off Highway 12 but hidden among giant live oaks, eastern cedars, and other natural fauna.Self-check-in is easy with an electronic keypad door lock. Two private ensuites for rent are accessed on either side of the front door. We reside with our two Labradoodles, Bentley and Porscha, in the remainder of the home. We enjoy traveling and may or may not be there during your visit.
