A limited supply of snow shoes are also available upon request during the snowy season. We do plan to offer free bikes in the futures!Since this is a brand new construction, the landscape wasn’t able to be completed prior to winter. A good portion of this is already underway but won’t be fully completed for a number of years. The property is ever changing. The cabin is situated on the owners property and is a guest cabin. The owners family lives on this property. The lodge has 4 bedrooms (1 windowless) and 2.5 bathrooms with in-floor heating on the main level, a beautifully updated kitchen including stainless steel appliances, and a large stone wood-burning fireplace at the center of the cabin. Firewood can be purchased at any nearby gas station.The top floor includes the master, with breathtaking views out your walk-out balcony of Lotus Lake, and a large updated private bathroom. Also upstairs is a loft with extra sleeping space for the kids. The main level showcases the gorgeous white cedar logs, with the large stone wood-burning fireplace at its center. The kitchen was recently updated including modern stainless steel appliances, and all the cooking amenities you need for a comfortable stay. Off the main level is a grand deck you can grill on while enjoying your view looking out over Lotus Lake, and stairs taking you down to the firepit. Don't overlook the expansive front porch, it is a perfect spot for morning coffee and conversation. Downstairs you'll find a family room with PS4 set-up for the kids with movies or games after a long day skiing at Trollhaugen or canoeing down the St. Croix River. The thermostat controls for the heat are in the bathroom. AC unit for the main room. There is a small kitchenette, dresser, hangers, TV, Wi-Fi, and access to a stone patio. Right off of main street in downtown St Croix Falls.Guest access:You will be given an electronic keycode and instructions to use this lock system the morning of check-in. You will use this keycode to lock and unlock the main door to the apartment. You may check-in without meeting us (which is why we are flexible on check-in time) but if you need anything, we are close by and can help you with anything.Other things to note:There are three apartments we rent out at 123 s Washington so if you are traveling with others and want to stay together, please also check out the listings for The Artist's Loft and The Peacock Loft. There are three patios that anyone can sit on and enjoy. Although we are off of Main Street, road noise is usually limited in the Copper Room but feel free to bring a fan or earplugs if very sensitive to noise - we want you to have a great sleep! This is a unique room and has exposed copper pipes (which is why it is decorated in a copper theme!) - please note that there may be small water-trickling sounds coming up the pipes (the room has 12 foot ceilings though so they are high-up) above. Do not be alarmed - this is normal. We just want you to be aware before booking so this doesn't upset you. Also, this apartment only has a small partial kitchen: Fridge, hot plate, air fryer microwave, sink, and cupboards.
