Skaritz Hotel & Residence

Myself, my wife and our best friends stayed at the Skaritz Hotel and Residence in Bratislava for 2 nights. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The location is excellent with walks to the Christmas markets literally around the corner. The rooms were spacious and the beds comfortable. All the staff were friendly and helpful. A big shout out to John who went over and above. He showed us locations to go and supplied us with a map. He held our bags in the morning on arrival and also on our last day until we departed. John was always accomodating and a great asset to the business. Overall, we can thoroughly recommend this property and staff. Thanks to John and the team for making our time in Bratislava amazing.

Nice hotel with large, well appointed rooms and bathrooms with large tubs . Helpful front desk and decent breakfast. Arrived during weather emergency with high winds and massive rain and hotel had golf course sized umbrellas to use to navigate to Primate Palace and historical Old Town Square. Only slight problem was getting A/C up to cool off the room/ took awhile but eventually climate was good. Nice to actually be able to walk around a bed in Central Europe. If using ride share apps to get to/from main train station you need to walk up the street through the tower to main street( your gps location is Alicz Restaurant. Would happily stay here again.

Easy to find. A 500 metre walk from public transport. Parking, unsure, local pedestrian area. Within old city walls, with great location for all needs. Good size room desk two lounging chairs, table, ottoman, separate or joint beds night table- lamps, HVAC, great tub and shower, tea socket for charging, wood, carpet floors, two windows to courtyard. QUIET! Elevator. Friendly's staff, provided additional sheers, towels. Super value

A really lovely building with great rooms. The beds were nice. We got into our room and commented on the temperature which was a little like being in the Sahara. One bottle of water per stay, not per day. We asked for the air con to be sorted. It’s centrally controlled and only cool for a couple of times per day. A fan was brought to the room. This was the equivalent of an asthmatic nun blowing air on you and as noisy as a jet engine. A real shame as everything else, including the service was great. Just need the temperature sorting.

The hotel was good and clean, and room had enoughspace. Bathroom was clean and nice. Reception was good and helpful. They were only misy to give some more coffee and tea bags, and also only one small water bottle for 3 nights.... It would also more better to had breakfast served inside the building. Finally it was in the heart of the old city, near to everything.

The Skaritz is located in a historical building on Bratislava's most touristy street, the pedestrian Michalska with many shops and places to drink or eat. The hotel itself has no restaurant, thus no breakfast is available. If requested one can get a voucher for 12€ to have breakfast at a nearby café as of 8.30am. Check-in was easy and friendly. I was given a room on the third, the top floor, with a sloping ceiling and high up windows, which were hard to open, even for an almost 6ft man like me. Definitely not much of a view. There was plenty of space around the double bed. It had a desk and a mini bar, which I didn't use. It was quiet at night, if one kept the windows closed. The bathroom had a giant bathtub with a shower and a dispenser, but at the washbasin there was only a small bar of soap. What I liked the least about this hotel was the room service, which was supposed to be available till 4pm. For this one had to put a sign outside the door, which I always did, when leaving early morning. When I returned after this hour on the first day, nobody had touched my room. After I complained at reception, the room got serviced the next days, but then towels or the bathmat were taken away and not replaced nor were there given any new coffee sachets, when they had been used up.
