Booked a last minute break and have to say what a little gem this hotel is. We were welcomed by the owners Steve & Wendy who the most friendly and down to earth people you would ever wish to meet. Their attention to detail is second to none. Complimentary home baked Bakewell tart, fresh milk if needed and an even honesty bar whereby you are trusted to serve your own drinks and settle upon departure. Never came across this before at any hotel stay, just shows what genuine good people the owners are. The hotel is immaculate, tastefully decorated and only a few moments stroll to the sea front. We had the best nights sleep, mattress was extremely comfortable and bed linen was of high quality. Lovely freshly cooked breakfast made to order with additional fresh continental offerings available. This hotel failed to disappoint we can’t wait to visit again.

Great service and good food. As we entered, the host was welcoming and showed our room. Our room was very clean and they had strict regulations around smoking. Good choice of breakfast options and vegan options were available too.

Cosy, clean, and with a warm welcome for all, treat yourself to an exceptionally great stay at a reasonable price.

If you are not sure where to stay - don’t waste any time looking elsewhere, I can 100% recommend staying at Arran Lodge. We were so impressed with how well we were looked after, a clean and kept room with everything you might possibly need, including a welcome treat - homemade cake, space to park the car outside the house, a welcome reception and the most wonderful breakfast choice! Grande location juste à quelques pas de la pier et 10-15 min de conduite de Babbacombe. Chambres propres, confortables avec shampooing, climatisation et gel de douche. Fantastique, frais faits de petits-déjeuners délicieux. Merci Jonathan & Sade pour un séjour si agréable!

For a 4 star hotel this was very disappointing. Only 1 person on reception and a queue of people waiting to be checked in. A very tired hotel that has been not been well maintained. Our room was disappointing, a balcony we couldn't use, a double bed that felt like I was sliding out of it all night as the mattress was worn and had gone soft on my side of the bed, an uncomfortable toilet as the seat was too small for the toilet. Many other small things as well, we expected better.

La chambre qui nous a été donnée était au fond d'un vol d'escaliers qui a entraîné de nombreuses perturbations sonores tout au long de la journée et de la nuit. L'alarme à 7 h était également une appel de réveil non bienvenue. Le petit déjeuner était bon, avec une sélection décente et la situation générale est bonne pour accéder aux promenades locales et à la voie de la côte.

Le service était gentil et utile, je suis sûr que je recommande cet hôtel à d'autres.

The hotel itself was nice; can’t fault it. Our room however, had a weird, stale smell and was off-putting, with no way to ventilate the room by opening the windows, as you cannot open them - A/C is not a natural ventilation. Bed was comfortable, slept perfectly fine, just not nice waking up with the smell, as mentioned before. Breakfast was good, although I’ve had better.

Great hotel, the room was lovely & so was the pool area! We went on the weekend at the start of half term so there was a lot of family’s there & children. I heard the week is better if you don’t want lots of children around but for us this wasn’t an issue. The hotel is very big & there is lots around. It is also in a great location close to the beach, parks & walking distance from the town. We really enjoyed our stay here :)
