Hotel Gasthof Krone

We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Krone very much and definitely plan to come back. The staff was very friendly, warm and welcoming. The food was excellent, great variety, local dishes. The rooms comfortable and cozy.

We wanted to stay near Bregenz / Lindau area. Didn't want to stay right in the city, but more in the outskirts to enjoy the region. Man this hotel is a gem. Seems this whole area is uncharted for most Americans. Everyone says maybe 5%. The hotel is Gastof Krone in Hittisau. The village itself is super small, you certainly will have to want to be out in the country. There's actually a lot to do in such a small area. Behind the hotel is a nice hike to a gorge. We took a day trip (only 1/2 hour away) to one of the most amazing ski lifts! It's called Berbahnen in a small town called Andelsbuch. We've been on many ski lifts over the years. This one has to be the longest ride in the world, on one of the old style chairs (not enclosed cabin). They have that for an option but seems crazy when you can be out in the open. I think this ride was about an hour. Up top is a nice hike around the top of the mountain - only 30 minutes, with 2 great restaurants. Another great restaurant in the area we found (you'll never know it's there as it is in a hotel - Lowen) the town is called Egg. The restaurant is KaseStrasse Bregenserwald. Bregenzerwald seems like the area. They also have tandem paragliding. Have to do that next time, as I think you have to take a short course the day prior. Hiking trails all over the place. Biking also. Oh getting back the Hotel; unbelievable, genuine, friendly customer service. The restaurant was the most amazing find of all. We had no idea. The breakfast and dinner are included, but that's about all they tell you. Man you're in for a 4-5 star restaurant. Impeccable service, delicious dinners. You can eat on the balcony and listen to the church bells during dinner. They even have a small spa with sauna. Got a massage. Ha massages in Europe is another story. Can never find a good one, always very foo foo and too soft, but they brought a woman in that could do deep tissue. We only had one day left and had to choose between Bregenz and Lindau. We took a poll and Lindau came out on top. Man what a great town. We were there on a Saturday, and seems parking is a challenge, so we just followed the signs to P1 or P2 for parking. Took the shuttle - breeze.

Ein wunderschöner Ort für eine Auszeit, sehr gepflegt, freundlich, hervorragende Küche. Die Einrichtung setzt auf einheimisches Holz und wirkt hell und freundlich. Die Küche ist sehr gut und leicht, auf dem reichhaltigen Frühstücksbuffet finden sich viele lokale Produkte. Die Weinkarte lässt keine Wümsche offen.

Bei unserem 3tägigen Aufenthalt in der Krone waren wir tief beeindruckt vom heimeligen und familiären Ambiente, der sehr gepflegten Einrichtung, der Freundlichkeit und Aufmerksamkeit der Mitarbeiter und der ausgezeichneten Küche. Wir können dieses Haus wärmstens empfehlen.

Der Aufenthalt im Hotel Gasthof Krone ist ein Erlebnis, bei dem jedes Detail harmonisch aufeinander abgestimmt ist. Von den stilvoll eingerichteten Zimmern bis hin zu den exquisiten Speisen im Restaurant – alles trägt zu einem unvergesslichen Aufenthalt bei. Der aufmerksame Service und die zahlreichen Annehmlichkeiten machen das Hotel zu einer Oase der Entspannung, Stille und des Wohlbefindens. Einfach fantastisch!

Wir waren zum wiederholten Mal in der Krone, das dritte Mal schon mit unserem Sohn, der jetzt erst 2 Jahre alt ist. Reichhaltiges Frühstück, leckere Kuchenkreationen am Nachmittag im Kaminzimmer und ein herausragendes Abendessen machen die Krone für uns zu einem besonderen Genuss. Der Kontakt mit den Mitarbeiter*innen ist immer sehr freundlich und persönlich, so dass wir uns als Familie jedes Mal sehr willkommen und sehr gut aufgehoben fühlen.
