Travelodge Bristol Central Mitchell Lane

Plus points; great location to city centre, which is what is needed if having a late night out. No need for taxi's/ubers or any other modes of transport. Staff very friendly and willing to help. The downsides; Lots of building work going on around the hotel, which i know isn't their fault. I didn't sleep at all due to mattress just being on the firmer side for me and sane goes for the pillows. What also contributed to the lack of sleep, was the constant noises. Loud talking, thumping footsteps, doors being slammed rather than respectfully closed quietly. This went on for the WHOLE night. The TV remote didn't operate the TV. Had to do so manually like going back to the 70's. One of the most annoying things, after the noise was the key cards to access the room. I had to go back to reception 3 times to get a new card. They gave me 2 new ones on the third attempt, 1 which worked and 1 that didn't. It seems to be a common issue as several other guests had sane problems. Finally something I noticed in the morning were dried blood stains on the wall below the TV. Grim. At this point, I couldn't say for sure whether I'd go back again.

Diksha on reception was very welcoming - I arrived very late (almost midnight) and she kindly gave me some almond milk to make tea. The room was spotless, and I barely heard anything from the adjacent rooms. Can't find fault with anything. Thank you.

The staff were extremely helpful and polite with exceptions of Young lady Rachel as her service to all guests goes over and beyond all others staff .her mannerisms and politeness goes beyond what is required from her as a employee within the Travelodge Mitchell lane hotel 10 out of 10 service

I stayed for one night at the hotel, overall the hotel is decent but the best part was the worm welcoming at the reception by Aleka, she was lovely and went above and beyond to acomodate my needs, she is definitely a great asset for the establishment and I look forward to staying at this hotel on my future business trips. Efcharisto Aleka, hope to see you again soon.

No fridge, no complimentary water. No toiletries. Shower ok. Very expensive at £160 plus breakfast another £22 for two but not great quality. Not as sold.

We received excellent customer service during our stay in Bristol from Ankit and Rachel on reception. The room we had booked had an issue with the lights, which we didn't realise until 11pm. Ankit on reception was so helpful, he came to our room, checked the fault himself and then upgraded us at no extra charge to a Super Room on the 5th floor as he advised the issue with the lights would not be fixed until the next day. This made our experience so much more enjoyable and we were so grateful to the team for accommodating us so late at night! 10/10 would recommend.
