Hôtels proches de Banana Republic, Burnaby

J'ai eu une nuit de séjour avant d'embarquer un navire de croisière à Vancouver. J'ai réservé ce DUMP en ligne. Mon Dieu, c'était horrible. Les drapes tombent séparé ....Le sol était acharné sous les pieds. Vous n'avez pas pu utiliser la douche parce que la manche à eau chaude était totalement dégagée. J'étais dans la chambre 9. Il n'y avait pas d'arrêt dans le bain. Nous avons donc pris un bain de champignon. J'ai appelé le bureau de front et il a offert de nous changer à la chambre 10. Je me suis refusé parce que je ne pensais pas qu'il pourrait être beaucoup mieux. Mon conseil, vous auriez mieux dormir dans votre voiture. C'était si mauvais. Climatisation - nous ne pouvions pas fermer. C'était l'une de ces petites choses dans le mur. Nous n'avons pas besoin de ça parce qu'il était dans les années 50.

Room was simple and clean. The unlevel floor going into bathroom could maybe be better marked but we adapted. A portable AC unit was in our room at check in which was good since it was needed. The physical room key took some getting used to (ie not locking automatically). The cable box was precariously set on top of the wall mounted tv and it took some time to get everything hooked up correctly. We had a few minor inconveniences (we stayed multiple days and would have appreciated a place to hang two wet bath towels) but nothing egregious. The lobby snack bar is a diabetic’s nightmare but each morning there were bananas as well.

Thank you for the opportunity to describe my Inn at the Quay experience. I was booked for a day procedure at Royal Columbian Hospital at 6:00AM on Saturday May 20. Because I was travelling from out of town and had to be driven home (as a requirement of the procedure) I elected to travel by train to Vancouver and then New Westminster on the day before, Friday. On Tuesday May 16 I booked a room at your hotel for the night of the night of Friday May 19 for $389.00 ex-taxes. My plan was to take a cab to the Hospital and then my daughter was then going to drive to town to pick me up and drive me home after the procedure on Saturday. After travelling to New Westminster I had time to kill because I called the Inn at the Quay to see if I could get an early check in but was told that you were very busy and that was not possible. The hospital recommends attending with only your care card for security reasons. For this reason I had my BC Care Card and the credit card I used to book the room in my cellular phone case. During my wanders I lost my phone. Fortunately I had a significant amount of cash so I got a cab immediately and attended at your hotel. I explained my situation to the clerk on the desk and she said that she could not check me in without the credit card I used to book the room. I asked her if you would charge that card with the room price if I had not shown up and she agreed that that was the case. When I asked if she could just charge the card and let me stay she said that the situation was different and was against your policy. I questioned her further and she summoned a person form the back office who agreed that the situation was completely different and actually said “Sorry, we can’t help you.” When I suggested cancelling the credit card transaction and paying in cash that suggestion was also turned down. Reason was lost on these two minions that are trained to be slavishly obedient to your rules and policies. I am sure that if you question these two they will agree that I was polite and courteous throughout our encounter. After several attempts at circumventing their indifference I felt that I should leave before I started to get mad. As a competent, attentive and businesslike hotelier I am sure you are aware of the saturation in your market on any given day. If you harken back to May 19 you will recall that all of the other hotels in New Westminster and as far as Port Coquitlam were completely booked. No matter, I was able to avail myself of a comfortable chair in the admitting lobby of the Royal Columbian Hospital from 4:00PM on Friday until 6:00AM the following morning. Except of course when I had to leave the admitting lobby while the janitors polished the floors. Because the Emergency Room lobby was full I was able to meet some of the interesting local street residents that were outside at 2:30AM. Our stay started off really well. Front desk staff were very friendly and let us check in early. I went to have a shower before going to the concert we were in town for and found that the tub drain was plugged and the tub not draining. I had received a txt earlier ask how the room use and to text if we need anything. So I text that the tub was are draining. I did not get a response and left the room to go out. We thought we would come back the drain being unplugged but instead came back to nothing done. We went to the front desk to ask for a plunger to try and fix ourselves as it had been 7 hours and still no response. We tried to plug the drain but it did not help. When we returned the plunger the front desk person offered us another room but being in out pj’s and it after midnight we stayed in the room. They said maintenance would be back at 7am. We went to check out at 11, still no response to txt and no maintenance person to fix tub. The desk person apologized and offered us breakfast vouchers for the restaurant. We went to the restaurant but they would only give us bacon or sausage and eggs. Being vegan and vegetarian that was not going to work. The restaurant said they could not offer anything else. We went back to the front desk and the manager wouldn’t allow the front desk person to do anything else for unless we wanted McDonald’s. Looking forward to getting home tonight to shower.

Séjour de quelques nuits dans cet hôtel situé dans Downtown. Très bon accueil, les chambres sont confortables, propres et au calme. Le prix est vraiment très intéressant pour Vancouver- centre-ville! Un parfait point de chute pour visiter la ville. Le café est offert le matin et il y a tous commerces sur Robson Street situé à 2 minutes à pied. Il y a la possibilité de laisser son bagage dans un rangement sécurisé. Je recommande très fortement cet hôtel, en plus les profits sont réinvestis dans des programmes communautaires pour les femmes.

The location was perfect, and the room was quite spacious for the two of us, my teenager son and i, as we were in town for university campus visits. The beds were very comfortable, and the Starbucks in the lobby, and the mosaic restaurant served good food (for lunch). Parking was right down in the basement, and was very convenient. We parked the car there and walked around Robson avenue for shopping. Checkout was also very speedy and done online, without the need to line up.

Enfin, le parking coopéré par l'hôtel a été fini. Il a clairement dit au récepteur le numéro de la marque et il a confirmé le numéro de la marque elle-même, Le système d'hôtel a enregistré mon numéro de la marque. Le parking a toujours mis un avertissement le lendemain, qui m'a dit que c'était un parking de l'hôtel, afin qu'il n'y ait pas de pénalité ou de retrait.

This hotel is truly nice. The driver and I had a difficult time seeing where the hotel entrance was. We had to guess. Very engaging lobby, with a check in that went very smooth. There are plenty of amenities at this hotel. Good attached restaurant. The room was very large, very nice, and very comfortable. Very large bathroom, and nice shower. However. The glaring problem here are the thin walls. Every other guest I spoke to had the same complaint. I could annoyingly hear the people walking around above my room. The housekeeping staff could be heard cleaning several rooms away. The hotel guests could be heard walking around the halls and in their rooms. A small amount of noise is to be expected at hotels, but this is just poor design and cheap building. There was also a distinct smell of vomit throughout the hotel. I am not certain if this was the result of the farm land outside, or intoxicated guests. Probably both. If you are here to gamble and drink, you may not notice any of my issues. If you are hear to sleep and work the next day, you may share my concerns.

Bonne propriété avec quelques questions - En tant que membre de l'élite Bonvoy, je résiste habituellement à l'enregistrement de l'application et préfère visiter le bureau frontal pour demander une mise à niveau de la chambre, mais si je visite cet hôtel à nouveau, je n'utiliserais probablement que l'application. Avant l'arrivée, l'app m'a informé que j'avais été amélioré, mais le bureau de front m'a dit qu'il n'y avait pas de mise à niveau, juste une réservation standard de chambre avec deux lits (je étais solitaire et seulement un lit), et ne pouvait pas être déplacé parce que l'hôtel était ”full” (Malheureusement, mon parking lot/lobby bar/jour de la semaine de test de détecteur de mensonge a indiqué qu'il était inexact). Après avoir vérifié l'application, les équipements de la chambre que j'ai reçus n'ont pas correspondu aux équipements de la chambre sur l'application, qui ajoute à mes soupçons que j'avais été réduit à l'arrivée. Le centre de la ville est très bien situé. Quoi qu'il en soit, une fois que j'ai dépassé, la chambre était propre, bien organisée et calme (sauf pour un bruit de rue, c'est une raison pour laquelle j'ai demandé un haut étage ...). J'aimais la petite fenêtre qui pouvait être ouverte, le temps était juste pour elle et j'ai désactivé le contrôle climatique pour la chambre pour la durée du séjour. L'hôtel est très bien situé, mais il est très bon de se rendre à l'hôtel. J'ai été facturé pour l'internet gratuit pour les élites de Bonvoy, et je n'ai pas été facturé pour le parking $15 par nuit, ce que je sais d'expérience sera beaucoup plus quand le service de parking non affilié de l'hôtel facturera la société de location de voiture, qui passe le Recharge sur moi avec quelques frais d'irrigation des yeux .... Also, for some reason I was checked out at 9:30AM, even though I had requested and received a 1PM checkout. Leur système ne pouvait pas m'en sortir, donc quelqu'un m'a accompagné dans la salle pour me prendre mes sacs après que j'ai sorti pour un peu de glace. Globalement, une grande propriété qui a besoin d'un travail sur ses systèmes et un peu plus de formation (et honnêteté?) au bureau frontal.
