Our second stay in Half Moon cabin. Just as enjoyable as the first stay. The Egg bath is an experience lol...The bed is comfy. The TV reception is very hit and miss! The screen comes and goes continually. Virtually no wi-fi signal, and the guest wi-fi doesnt reach here. We checked in when out and about. Its actually relaxing to not bother with the mobiles....If only the TV was better connected. The breakfast, as before, is tasty. No complaints at all. The weather was amazing, so the pool was fantastic for cooling down and the hot tub great for releasing stress in the joints. The grounds were tidy and clean. The staff welcoming and polite...We saw Maggie, which was lovely. Visited Mudeford Quay, Christchurch shops and The Bear public house next door, as they had a jazz festival on. We shall visit again as its like stepping back in time to an Art Deco era....Totally relaxing.

We were attending a wedding at The Old Vicarage, so this was well-located for that. Easy to find and plenty of parking. We were welcomed on arrival and shown to our room. Good size, and huge bathroom. Tea, coffee, bottled water and an espresso machine. Lovely breeze with the doors to the balcony open, plus a fan was provided. The gardens were large, and the pool was lovely to cool down. There was a sauna (extra charge) and a hot tub, but we didn’t use them. Also a fridge for guests to use, which was helpful as there wasn’t one in the room. In the attached photo, the rear patio of the house is reserved for the owners. Great choice at breakfast, including full English cooked to order. The staff were friendly and welcoming, as were the owners (and their cat, Roger). There were a few areas of the room and exterior which were a bit tired and could have done with a deeper clean, but overall we had an enjoyable stay and would return.

Brilliant stay here.. beautiful country location but close to the town. The ladies who greeted us and looked after us were friendly, accommodating and just genuinely great people. Wish we could have stayed longer! Hope we will be back

Check in was not good ,no clear direction of where to go on arrival. The pavilion rooms were on first appearance nice but that's where it ended , they were dirty ,dusty ,mould on curtains and in the door runners of the sliding door . The place was tired and needed decorating,it could be really nice Floor board by bed appeared broken Furniture not been moved so it could be cleaned behind and cushions not cleaned nder The bathroom was clean but drainage from the shower was slow .. We did move rooms and it was better but I cannot express enough how tired the place was . Lovely gardens but needed tidying the patio needed weeding . Lamp shade broken and main light one of the candle bulbs was broken . Not value for money and photos on websites very deceiving

Not a place to stay. We had to move rooms as first room had the door to bathroom or toilet! Both rooms very tatty and lots of maintenance needed attention. Dust and cobwebs in certain areas. Balcony not swept, rusty chairs. Breakfast ok, but cooked served on cold plates. Housekeeping lady tried her best, but English not her first language. Gardens needed weeding etc and pool area not swept for some time and not able to sit on loungers. Owners did not greet you on arrival or departure. We wanted to express our concerns but no one would come out and talk to us Very over priced and photos on website do not match the actual property. Very disappointed

Gorgeous house sitting next to a farm. Not location I thought it would be on the map as there is a dual carriageway between it and Christchurch town. A local told me we could have walked down the road and over the footbridge into centre within 20mins. Wasn't told this and there was no local info said to us nor written, only plugging local eaterie in which they have an interest. However the house itself is gorgeous, Havilland room fabulous, massive bed, opulent decor, spacious open bathroom with roomy shower and sink. The room has a balcony overlooking the big garden with splash pool, so nice to sit in an evening. Really vould have been abroad with the gorgeous weather we had. The Bear of Burton and Oak Inn are short walk for dinner. Food ok in both. Nice country smells and noises from next door cows which reminded me of home!

We came here for 2 nights Fri - Sun and we had a lovely time. the place was clean, warm and the hosts were very friendly. The room (pavilion suite) was spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was perfect, especially the homemade Jam! We will definitely be back in the warmer months to make use of the garden. Great location with buses to the Quay and into town, we opted for Ubers which cost between £6-8 each way and took less than 10 minutes. Very quiet and peaceful and just an all round wonderful getaway.

I don't know where the other reviews come from, but don't expect to find a hotel which looks like the photos. The rooms are nothing like the photos, the furnishings are worn and stained and the rooms need a lot of repair. Not much else to say.

The room was nice and clean with a good layout with kids. The lady who served us breakfast was very friendly and the breakfast was nice.
