Hello, I have given “average” but I Will explain: the building is a beautiful old one, with marble stairs, modern lift, well decorated . It lays in the heart of the old center of Cagliari (very close to Piazza Yenne full of restaurants and nice bars and Santa Chiara Mercato and Castello). So top position. We were very happy for our room , fantastic decoration modern and beautiful Art pieces . As the hall and everything . The negative point was for me and my husband the check in and what happened after we arrived . I apologize here for not having told them the exact time of our arrivals BUT we arrived by car, there were no parking around and we had to park down where is the 🚉 train station. So we had to walked 15 minutes with 34 C degrees hot that Sunday 8 September . But ok . It is still summer . So we reach the place (it is in a tiny street full of restaurants and bars ) … rang the bell, no answer. It was 1 pm (13.00) so I called them (there are two tel number on a sign at the door entrance). I told the guy that we would have to check in … and he was surprised because we did not tell them the exact hour we were arriving .. there was nobody in the building to open the door 🚪. My husband was already “boiling”.. because we were left waiting in the street, quite hot and just asking to put our suitcase 🧳 inside , and come back later . But no. Nobody could be there in few minutes so we said we go eat something and we would come Back . They called us when we where having lunch. My husband was already disappointed 😔 but we managed to deal to check in at 15.30 (imagining there will be someone there and waiting for us ) . We were there at 15.40-15,45 and still none was there !!!! Then my husband exploded on the phone 📞 and was such an unpleasant moment . It has spoiled all our beautiful holidays in Sardegna .so .. the two of us again in the street waiting . At 16.10 this guy (cannot remember his name , tall, handsome and curly hair) showed up . We went inside and when given passports , the hotel guy asked a deposit of 499 euros 💶. Which we did not know about . (Imagine the face of me and my hubby) . Being told quite rudly that we should have red “the importants information “ at the booking site so we should have known (frankly we had travelled the world 🌎 and never asked for a deposit 💵 at the front desk of and hotel 🏨 but this is a rooms rentals with somebody who check you in at the precise moment you told them). The stay was nice and we were very happy for our accomodation. But I think there should be at least some people at the desk when clients arrived . Breakfast is outside in a Cafeteria 100 mt from the Regio. Top location but they should have a different attitude towards the guests.
