Swiss Inn Nile Hotel

Séjour incroyable au Swiss Inn. Le personnel est plus que serviable. La piscine est incroyable. Les chambres sont propres et littéralement le meilleur climatiseur d'Egypte.

Très bien, le service et l'hygiène sont très bons, on voit le Nil et il y a une piscine sur le toit. Dans l'ensemble c'est bien. Le seul inconvénient est que c'est un peu loin de la ville. Si vous êtes en voyageant ici, vous pouvez l'envisager.

Il semble être dans un quartier pauvre, il n'y a pas de nourriture autour, et c'est sale et malodorant. La chambre n'était pas clairement réservée pour une personne et nous avons dû payer un supplément de 10 $ pour nous deux. Nous n'avions d'autre choix que de demander à la plateforme de nous aider à communiquer, mais ils ont tout de même insisté pour facturer 10 $. Heureu*****t, Ctrip m'a remboursé mes 22

Pour une nuitée ok. Ce que je n'ai pas du tout aimé, c'est que j'ai dû payer un supplément de 17 € pour l'enregistrement à 8h du matin. Je n'ai jamais connu cela dans aucun hôtel au monde. Absolument déconseillé 👎

Ce n'est pas un hôtel 4 étoiles, c'est à peu près la même chose qu'une chambre en Chine qui coûte 150 yuans la nuit. L'ascenseur est semi-automatique et la porte extérieure doit être poussée et tirée à la main.

L'hôtel est relativement vieux, mais le nettoyage est encore relativement propre, il est donc très confortable d'y vivre, et le service de l'hôtel est également très bon, et j'ai été surclassé gratuitement dans une chambre avec vue sur le Nil.

Stayed at the Swiss Inn for one night with the possibility of extending. Wow am I glad I only booked one night. Arrived to check in and as I was a top tier member I get early check in from 10am and late check out until 2pm. One of the reasons I booked this hotel as I’ve just spent two weeks at the Swiss Inn Hurghada which was amazing! If only this hotel would follow in Hurghada’s footsteps. I arrived at the hotel at 11am and the receptionist to start with was lovely, took all my details and took payment for the room. As soon as she took payment her mood and attitude changed. She then told me my room won’t be ready until at least 2pm maybe later as it’s been busy. I told her I wasn’t happy with this and she told me hotel policy is 2pm. I had to get the reception leader who told me the same but would do his best. The receptionist was then smirking and laughing about this. I then contacted my travel company to assist me. They then got in touch with Swiss Inn head office who contacted the hotel manager as soon as this happened a room had become available. The hotel didn’t inform me of anything about breakfast or anything else which I thought was really poor. The bellboy managed to connect me to WiFi and was very helpful. I got into the room and the room was very dusty and dirty so I called down to reception and got the same woman. When I spoke with her she ended the call on me forcing me to go back down. Once I was down she told me she would get someone to come to the room with no apology. The head housekeeper and a manager both came to my room which was a bit intimidating and asked what the issue was. I invited them in and showed them all the dust and dirt all over the room. Once they seen this they totally changed and were very try apologetic. A team of 4 people then came in to clean the room which was nice, however still not very clean especially in behind things. Windows would not close fully so meant the room was very noisy from outside traffic. Also very dangerous for family’s with small kids as I was on the 8th floor and this means the windows would not lock. Beds were comfortable but bedding was very old and stained. Would recommend investing in a refurb of the full hotel. I ventured up to the rooftop pool which was nice, unable to go in as this wasn’t heated at all. Nice view of Nile and surrounding area. No shops or anything nearby would need to bet Uber or taxi everywhere. If you’re lucky enough to be at the front of the hotel you’ll get a good view of the river but if you’re at the back it’s very poor as you’ll see from my photos derelict and poverty stricken Cairo. All in all I would not recommend this hotel at all. It’s a real shame as all the other Swiss Inns I’ve stayed at have been amazing.

The hotel is located to the old residential neighborhood, where people barely have seen foreigners before. When my friend and I (both Asian) walked through the area between the nearest subway station and the hotel, there were children chasing us and tried to touch my bag and me. I know they don’t have bad intentions but still very uncomfortable and insecure about the safety. The hotel faces a waterworks, and the water from pipe has a strong smell of chlorine, which is quite noticeable when showing and brushing my teeth. The room isn’t clean enough, there’s a muddy hand print on the bathroom door which can be wiped off easily, proving that no one cleaned it. However surprisingly the swimming pool looks actually clean. Breakfast is okay, you can enjoy the unlimited refreshing hibiscus tea. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Good value for the money, if you want to have a small adventure in the „wild Cairo“ ;)
