Green Mountain Park

The bathhouses were horrible, not clean, dated is being kind, gravel roads need leveling, grassy areas need mowing & rv sites included, rules enforced for annual site holders (speed, storage, condition, # of vehicles per site to mention a few). Sites with decking look unsafe and need new wood. Location is nice, no complaint on that, but the park is not a destination park it is more of a rest stop. That's it other than it shouldn't be a major investment to improve, just kick management into gear, property grooming, bathhouses and rules observed would go a very long way.

We love this campground and have stayed several times. This year, Helene mad a surprise visit while we were there. The campground team did a great job of clean up after the storm. They expressed concern for our safety and helped us to change sites (to one with no big trees) prior to the storm. Collette was amazing! We will return.

Our stay was great. The park is very pretty with ivy growing all around. People were super nice and the areas for guests were nice. Negatives: SUPER narrow roads and no cell or internet service.

Overall we enjoyed our stay at green mountain. Beautiful area and the pools, common area was nice. Bathhouse were unusable in my opinion. Staff was unfriendly and made us feel unwelcome. Tried to extend just one more day and they automatically said no without even checking or trying.

Here I am two years (2024) later and what a shame that another thousand trails park is being neglected. This place has gone downhill fast. Many sites electric is off and water is not available. We were met by a rude staff worker who acted like they own the place. Another staff member came in and was nice and apologetic. We were given an option of a site with all the regulars as these are the only sites working. We decided to find another option after a day. Thousand trails needs to start investing in their properties before the neglect costs even more to fix.

I’ve been coming here since 1972. I’ve been a Thousand Trails member for nearly 30 years. This park is not what it once was. The water pressure issues have been happening for 2 years. The splash pad didn’t work for over a year. It seems the non-member guests are given priority over those with membership. This year we weren’t even allowed to choose our spot (they had us marked on a map and given no other choice) because they were “holding” spots for bigger campers scheduled to come but yet calling in to hold a spot has never been allowed before. The 700 section needs new gravel (or at least cement pads like the reset of the park), they need to be mowed and weeded. Complaining does no good because nothing changes.
