When you show up you're pleasantly greeted by a security door you have to be buzzed in to enter. At this point you're probably realizing you made a mistake. It gets better when the attendant is rude and seems like she's very unhappy to see you or any ”guest”. Hotel has ridiculous policies like leaving the key at the front desk when you leave for ”security” purposes. Terrible. If you like hearing ambulances and police cars pass frequently this is the place for you. Barely luke warm water in the shower. On the bright side the shower and bathroom look nice. The room is a good size (I had the Junior Suite) and some of it looks nice. AC works well. The bed is two single beds put together -real classy. Built in ”desk” seemed like it would break if I leaned on it at all. Desk chair is absolutely un-sittable, as is the rock couch in the living room. Nice that there is a mini kitchen, but no plates, silverware, pans, etc provided. They give you two whole glasses. Really would avoid this place.

Excellent service sur l'hôtel, et propre

My friends and I stayed at the Faranda Cali on a friends trip to Colombia. The Faranda is located in the historical center of Cali, close to the boulevard and other historical sites, like Iglesia Ermita. Check in was relatively smooth and the hotel is relatively modern, given its surroundings. The area around the hotel is not the best, but they don't reflect the inside of the hotel. The general vibe of the hotel is Art Deco. I don't know what that has to do with Cali, Colombia, but that's what the Faranda was giving. There's one small elevator for the hotel, so if you don't mind stairs, I would advise using them at least to walk down. There's also a bar on the top floor that gets very loud when there's an event. So again, if this is a problem, request a room on the lower floor. I also wouldn't count getting any kind of workout in their ”fitness room” which is a tiny room with ancient equipment and no ventilation. The bar staff also randomly come and go, so if you go to get a drink at 8:00 p.m. there may or may not be a bar tender at the bar in the lobby which is the first thing you see when you walk into the place. On the positive side, the room rate seemed to be excessively reasonable. Breakfast was pretty okay and security is very tight at night, so you can feel pretty good about staying there. It was good to try but I think I'll pay a little bit more and stay somewhere with nicer amenities next time.

Its strategic location allowed for easy exploration of the city's renowned attractions on foot, while the attentive 24-hour security and exceptional service, including going the extra mile to accommodate me when I fell ill and even reopening a closed restaurant, truly elevated the experience. Despite its seemingly modest size, the hotel boasted ample amenities such as various hidden halls, a refreshing pool, and a delightful guardian dog, complemented by practical conveniences like parking and reliable WiFi. Surprisingly, I found no cons to mention, as every aspect of my stay surpassed expectations, leaving me with cherished memories and a strong recommendation for fellow travelers seeking an enchanting retreat.

Nous sommes membres de l'Ambassador de l'IHG et nous avons été mis à jour en suite junior pendant notre séjour pour les années nouvelles. La chambre et le lit étaient confortables, et étant donné que l'hôtel est situé sur l'un des principaux terrains de Cali, il est remarquablement calme. Notre séjour incluait le petit déjeuner, qui était assez sumptueux, beaucoup de fruits, fromage et pastèques, ainsi que des œufs cramés. Nous avons également mangé à presque tous les restaurants du premier étage pour la convenance, bien qu'il y a des dizaines d'excellents à proximité, il y a aussi une grande piscine (l'une des principales raisons pour lesquelles nous avons choisi cette propriété) et une petite salle de sport, ainsi qu'un parking gratuit. Nous n'avons pas utilisé le spa, mais nous avons prévu pour la prochaine fois.

Oh, comment j'aime cet hôtel et le personnel. J'ai séjourné à l'hôtel pendant sept jours et n'avais rien que la meilleure expérience. Le personnel était très ami et hébergé. J'ai senti en sécurité et en paix pendant que je voyage seule. Je n'avais pas peur et j'ai pu profiter de Cali et de tout ce qu'il avait à offrir. Je serai de retour Jan. Je vous verrai bientôt Hotel El Penon.

Très proche de l'aéroport et avec un transport de bus gratuit, mais vous devez vous connecter à l'hôtel à l'avance. La chambre est très propre, le personnel de la réception est très amiable, une bonne hébergement est reflétée
