Friendly staff comfy bed.
Breakfast was good the first day but for the next two days they had no smoked salmon, apparently a problem with suppliers bad excuse, also no Hp Sauce.
Loft rooms very noisy with early morning birds walking on the metal roof, a known problem in these rooms, hence always cheaper.

Nous avons passé une semaine au Winchester Hôtel pour découvrir Cap Town et ses environs. Situé au bord de la mer, on peut aller se balader le long de la jetée en toute sécurité (de nombreux locaux viennent courir, marcher), de nombreux restaurants très sympa à Sea point (Ariel pas exemple) sont accessibles à pied. On peut se rendre dans le centre ou sur XX pour tester d’autres restos en 10-15 min de voiture. L’hôtel est incroyable. Petit déjeuner gargantuesque avec un buffet excellent (fruits frais, céréales, saumon fumé et charcuterie, viennoiserie …) et des plats à commander en plus inclus dans la formule breakfast et chambre. On est pas sur les simples oeufs brouillés (que l’on peut demander sinon veut même s’ils ne sont pas à la carte) mais des plats travaillés et surtout très gourmands (oeufs Benedict, gaufre incroyable, shashuka…). C’est un vrai festin qui vous permettra de tenir toute la journée (on peut prendre autant de plat qu’on veut mais honnêtement un seul suffit). Les bar et le restaurant sont aussi très agréable et de nombreux locaux viennent prendre un verre au bord de la mer) Petite piscine à l’abri du vent et du bruit très agréable et chambre très spacieuse. On apprécie que l’hôtel ne soit pas trop grand et donc assez calme. Une super adresse pour découvrir Cap Town ! Il y a un parking pour les voitures payant mais Vous pouvez vous garer dans rue en tout sécurité et il y a tjs de la place.

We went here for a couple of beers and a cold bottle of wine,this is a great place to sit out on the veranda and watch the sun going down.While we were there we looked at the menu and it looked very good,a little bit pricier than other places but looked beautiful inside and the service was exceptional from the staff.We would have loved to have eaten here but it was our second last day in Cape Town but would recommend.

Great location. Staff are incredible. The room is very comfortable and spacious. Sea view loft. The street is busy during the day but quiet at night. The breakfast is amazing. You can choose the buffet or order off the menu. Service is impeccable and the location is a close Uber away from major sites. If we return will stay again. Thank you to the team!

Visited the Winchester with my adult daughter to tour Cape Town. The staff was pleasant and very professional. Rooms were clean and well equipped. Breakfast buffet was lovely. Easy access to the waterfront. Easy walk to Mojo market and other restaurants.

Spent 6 nights here with my daughter. It's a lovely hotel with restaurants and bars. Super comfy beds and well appointed bathrooms. Breakfasts a true feast with a huge range of options. And a wide menu choice for dinner. The bars are busy at sunset as the hotel faces west. Situated close to the V&A 10 mins away by taxi.

The atmosphere at this hotel is really incredible - very vibrant and relaxed. The hotel has an excellent setting and wonderful rooms and we really enjoyed our stay. The only reason I'm not giving the hotel 5 stars is because our rooms were not ready on arrival, even though we arrived long after the official check-in time and when we ordered drinks at the bar, it took the waiter 20 minutes to return to us with the message that they don't have what we ordered. However, I'm very sure these were isolated incidents because the hotel was busy and besides, the staff is very friendly and helpful. We will definitely return for a follow-up stay!

This hotel looks out on the waterfront where people are exercising and visiting. The interior courtyard is beautiful, with bougainvillea lining two of the sides. Our room was comfortable, spacious and quiet. Excellent shower. Fun to have turn down service and the thick velvet curtains are cut well enough to keep out any light (rare and appreciated). Breakfast choices were plentiful and delicious and staff were warm and available. Restaurant food was delicious yet service team was easily distracted. Reception team very helpful. We easily and cheaply Ubered to several restaurants and the ferry to Robben Island. I would return in a heartbeat.

Lovely hotel. I had a view of the water which was wonderful. Room was big, very clean and quiet. The bathroom was large and the shower pressure great. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel has an old world charm with bougainvilla growing in the courtyard and a lot of gorgeous black and white tile. The complimentary breakfast is a full breakfast with made to order eggs, etc along with a large cheese/toast/croissant/pastry/fruit/granola/yogurt and juice bar. The hotel is located across the street from the beach and a beautiful walkway and also a hop on/hop off bus stop. Behind the hotel is a road with lots of great shops and restaurants. The staff is very accommodating. Highly recommend.
