"This is a surprisingly nice hotel for a small town. My room was spacious, clean, comfortable, the bed was good, and the decoration nicely different. The bathroom had plenty of space for setting your stuff and the hot water was plentiful unlike other places I have stayed in Uruguay. There are no fixed lihts in the main area of the room and the bedside lights provide just enough light to read by when in bed. There are a lot of spaces inside the hotel for guests and lots of different art and interior decoration. The entry to the hotel is locked and you have to use the bell panel beside the door to have it opened. The breakfast was very much aligned to local tastes and was fine. My only complaint is that the heat pump in my room (105) was intermittently very noisy and you would not want it on while sleeping."

"Notre séjour à Carmelo Resort était tout simplement merveilleux. C'est un endroit incroyable pour se reposer, entouré de nature et avec un sentiment de calme absolu. Depuis le début, le personnel s'est remarqué pour son amabilité et son professionnalisme. Gaston nous a reçus avec une chaleur exceptionnelle, et Maite nous a ensuite donné une explication complète et claire sur le camping et toutes les activités disponibles, nous faisant sentir vraiment bienvenus. Nous avons également eu l'occasion de faire un tour en voiture, et nous voulons souligner Danilo, qui a été très chaud et attentif; nous vous remercions beaucoup pour son excellent service. Une mention spéciale pour Sofia, la boulangerie, qui est vraiment extraordinaire et un véritable bien pour l'équipe. Nos enfants ont participé à deux classes de cuisine et ont beaucoup apprécié: ils ont appris, s'ont diverti et ont vécu une expérience inoubliable. Même face à un imprévu, l'un de nos enfants a coupé le pied. Le resort a répondu de manière immédiate et organisée, en fournissant une attention de première urgence avec un grand professionnalisme, ce qui nous a donné beaucoup de tranquillité. Les détails font la différence: les produits de bain L'Occitane, la nettoyage impecable et la prise en charge dans chaque coin du camping reflètent un standard d'excellence. Très recommandé. Un endroit où nous espérons certainement revenir."

"We were only here two nights but wished we could have stayed longer in this peaceful and stunning hotel/resort. We are here just before high season starts. Although this place has the amenities of a resort, such as a gorgeous pool with pool side service, a workout room, bicycles, winery tours, kayaks, paddle boards and a lovely restaurant and bar, it still has provides a sense of tranquility and peacefulness. We can sit out on our stunning deck and read a book, take a swim and relax by the pool, ride bikes to wineries, and take lovely walks. One evening we went nearby to the most beautiful sunset boat ride. Not a tourist boat. Just us and the captain and laying on the deck having a beer and enjoying the view. The staff has been polite, attentive and gracious. I would definitely come back for a longer stay and will tell friends and family about this place."
