I stayed for 2 days before changing hotels. Pleasant hotel, good view, helpful staff. Suitable for people who have a car or are willing to use another form of transport because I found it away from everything but in a surfing point. Ideal for yong people

This was our third time to come here, and our second time to stay as hotel guests, and it was a memorable, delicious visit just like the previous ones. While we were in Spain on a trip through Andalusia, a Portuguese friend told us he was having a birthday party in Lisbon. After consulting the itinerary, we canceled one night in Spain, drove from Cordoba to Lisbon, went to our friend's party, spent the night here at this hotel, and drove to Seville, Spain the day after our friend's party. Yes, it was a lot of driving, but it's not every day we get invited to a Portuguese birthday party and are able to attend. We did not have dinner here as we have in the past, but the room we got was by far the nicest one on this entire 10-day Iberian trip. The room was large, modern, with a huge window overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and Guincho Beach. The bed was firm, as is the custom in Europe, comfortable, with immaculately clean linens. The bathroom was spotless and modern too, and the walk-in shower was perfect. After we checked in, we took a walk around the hotel remembering the previous memorable times we've spent here and were pleased to see the owner, Toni, in the bar. He stood up, warmly welcomed us, remembered us from earlier visits (February, 2023 and 2022), and asked about us, our family, and why we were in Lisbon. The gentleman is about 94 years old and still works at his family's hotel-restaurant every day. Such friendly hospitality is sorely lacking in the travel industry, and we love his personal touch. Breakfast the next morning was filling and tasty: a large assortment of breads, pastries, eggs, meats, fresh fruits, and cereals with plenty of coffee, milk, juices, and water. We especially enjoyed the Palmier cookies! Having breakfast at a table overlooking the Atlantic Ocean is a fabulous way to start any day. While we were not expecting to stay here this year, we were delighted to have been able to and see Mr. Toni again. If this outstanding level of customer service appeals to you, this could be your new favorite place to stay.

teribble atitude of owner, you can feel it everywhere. Dirty neglected low energy. poor rooms, bad food. the place had its times, and the owner didnt renovate it 50 years, just full of photos from the old times.

At the advice of friends, we came here in February, 2022 for dinner twice, but stayed at hotels in Lisbon. This year, we wanted a quieter stay for a few nights after a hectic earlier portion of the trip. This hotel was exactly what we needed! Quiet, clean, with a large room that looked over the Atlantic Ocean, we loved our stay. The hotel and its restaurant have a style that is straight out of the 1970s, with large sitting areas, a piano and a gentleman who plays it, a fireplace, and an entire wall of windows that looks out over the water. We had a remodeled room, and it was gorgeous. The bed was on the firm side, as is the custom in Europe, but very comfortable. The pillows were soft and comfortable, but with enough support so it didn't feel like our heads were right on the mattress. All of the bed linens looked, felt, and smelled fresh, spotless, and in outstanding condition. The room was cleaned daily and it was well-cleaned. We had a small covered balcony if we wanted to be outside. There was a small sitting area with a full-size leather sofa for quiet conversations, and the sofa looked new. It was very comfortable to sit on. The bathroom was remodeled too, and it included a bidet. All the fixtures operated perfectly and looked new. Like the bed linens, the bath linens looked, felt, and smelled immaculate. The towels were soft and absorbent, there were individual bottles of toiletries, and the shower had strong pressure with plenty of hot water. We ate dinner at the hotel's restaurant every night and ate their included breakfast every morning. For breakfast, there was a large assortment of breads, rolls, muffins, and other baked goods. There was a selection of yogurts, hard-boiled eggs, and a warming pan with scrambled eggs and bacon. One morning I had the eggs and bacon, another morning I ate yogurt, and one morning I ate some baked items. Each morning, I left satisfied and ready for a day of sightseeing. The eating utensils were real metal (not plastic) and the plates were real pottery/china/glass (not paper or plastic.) Tables were well-set with ironed, white cotton tablecloths, and guests can eat along a wall of windows. Coffee and fruit juices are available and good. I particularly liked the coffee because each guest can select what kind of coffee they get from the coffee machine. We like cafe au lait, and this machine offered hot milk, so we could easily mix our cafe au lait each morning. The employee managing the breakfast room was a very pleasant and welcoming gentleman, the same one for each day. The price of our room was a very reasonable one, less than $80 a night with a free breakfast. Naturally, when the tourist season picks up, the prices will rise, but we think that price was more than fair for the quality of our lodging and sleep. I was extremely disappointed at the facilities and overall cleanliness of this hotel. The location was second to none and amazing walks. The food was not great and breakfast was awful. A few selections of cereal, rubbery scrambled eggs and cocktail sauages. No coffee!!!! The room had paper cups for tea/coffee and no coffee was provided. The hotel had work going on around the pool area with hazardous stairways and trailing electrical leads by the pool. No area to sit in shade or umberellas at all. The staff were not overally helpful when asked anything of. No way is this hotel fitting of a 4 star rating. It smelt musty and the reception area had tatty furniture with peeling cushions. The location itself was its saving grace and I am glad I only booked for a couple of nights

The hotel location is ok. Hotel not too clean. Bathroom shower was broken and it has some very ripped bed and sofa. They charged me $2.50 for water while they don’t provide water for customer during check in. Their free breakfast was horrible. The only thing I like is location that’s all
