"We booked last minute having had to exit Parque Tepuhueico because it was not good. The hotel was almost empty but he staff were excellent and the food was fine. NIce hot tub which is free but you have a book a time. Good view form the restaurant but of course, as this is Chiloe, the sun doesn't shine."

"A charming hotel, a palafito (stilt-house built out over the tidal cove) with a lovely view of a working harbour and terriific light. It's central, well-run, clean, very spare and simple but comfortable. The big problem is structural: unless your room is on the top floor it's like having giants dancing overhead; added to this, all pluming noises - baths running, toilets flushing, taps turning on and off - are clearly audible in the rooms on each side or below. This is difficult to fix, so probably very big earplugs are your best bet. The extremely fixable problem is the wifi, which really didn't work in our room; we stood on the landing or went down to the cafe to get a signal. Wifi extenders would solve this simple problem and I hope the hotel does so, because it's a pity not to be able to give the place a full five stars."

"This place is simply wonderful. Though only a few miles from the main road, you feel like you are very far away from everything. The rooms are very beautiful, with huge windows facing the bay. A short walk takes you to the bay where you can watch birds, wander a bit along the marsh, or simply sit and enjoy the quiet. The food in the restaurant was very good and the views from the dining room are as nice as those from the rooms. Breakfast is great--excellent coffee, homemade granola and yoghurt, delicious bread as well as the standard cheese and meats. And lots of fruit and homemade fruit juices that change each day. The staff--Dora and Felipe and Kevin--are very welcoming and answer all questions. During my two weeks in Chile, this was easily--by far--my favourite stay. I have to return to Chiloé in the future for work and I will definitely be staying here!"

"We spent 4 days in hotel Parque Quilquilco and enjoyed every minute. The staff is kind and helpful and was always willing to cater to our needs. Sol and Priscilla at the desk had a wonderful disposition. In the restaurant we want to highlight the service of Diego Fernández. Diego speaks excellent English and is proactive, kind and dilligent. He went out of his way to get the special food my husband needed. He really made a difference. We also loved our beautifully decorated, warm bedroom, nice hot shower and gorgeous views of the Cove and meadows. If you plan to visit Chiloé be sure to stay at Parque Quilquilco."

"Si vous avez une réservation à cet hôtel, annulez-le! Si vous avez déjà payé, demandez un remboursement! Si vous considèrez cet hôtel comme une option pour votre séjour à Castro, cherchez un autre endroit où vous pourrez séjourner! Je suis un voyageur fréquent pour des raisons professionnelles et personnelles. Je passe trois quarts de mon année à la maison. Et je peux dire que dans cet hôtel j'ai eu la pire expérience de ma vie en tant que client ! Et tout parce que, après avoir arrivé à minuit le jour précédent, j'étais 10 minutes plus tard que le temps de check-out. La femme chargée de nettoyer l'hôtel - et l'un de ses fils, qui doit être un mineur et je ne sais pas s'il peut légalement travailler ici - m'a fait sortir de l'hôtel. J'espère que ce message sera lu par les propriétaires et les gestionnaires de l'hôtel : cette femme n'est pas en mesure de participer à quelqu'un ; elle n'a pas la capacité ou la volonté de participer aux personnes et de travailler dans un espace d'hospitalité. Ces personnes ne peuvent pas travailler ici."

"This is beautiful place to stay in Chiloe. 6 rooms overlooking the bay, that are architecturally stunning. My family of 4 stayed in the family room and it was perfect. We had dinner one night and breakfast both mornings- the food and presentation was amazing. The sun filled our room in the Morning, and it made my morning coffee delightful while I watched and listened to rhe birds and wildlife. Paulina and Dora were warm and friendly and made our stay wonderful. They had great recommendations for places to see in the area and restaurants to try. It is tucked away high on the ridge and so the road getting in and out is all part of the experience. If you are looking for something different and memorable, look no further! "
